We are excited to announce that our portfolio company, Permaconn has acquired Romteck Australia Pty Ltd, an Australian specialist in Fire Alarm Signalling Solutions. Romteck is an Australian manufacturer specialising in high-reliability safety-critical telemetry (IoT) solutions. Romteck has offices in Sydney and Perth and serves customers across multiple industries with a diverse product range which enables automatic fire alarm monitoring and emergency lift communications.   Andrew Pears, CEO of Permaconn, said “We have a huge respect for the achievements of the team at Romteck in building a significant player in critical communication solutions. Last week, Five V Capital held our annual Product & Tech Day for our portfolio companies across Private Equity and Venture Capital. This year our theme was AI and it was an opportunity to share experiences, learn about new innovations and discuss potential AI use cases.   Thank you to our terrific speakers on the day: - William A. the founder of TrueState AI, shared with us a value creation playbook for AI and highlighted while there is a lot of press on generative AI, annotative and predictive AI are the unsung heroes where AI can realise a lot of near term financial impact - Philip Cacciola from our portfolio company 4Cabling Australia and Michael Buckley from Alvarez & Marsal who talked us through a powerful case study from 4Cabling Australia and highlighted the AI technology which can be harnessed within your existing tech stack - Jacky Koh, co-founder of Relevance AI, discussed the work that Relevance AI is doing to make AI agents readily available in the workforce, automating repetitive tasks and significantly increasing business productivity    Thank you to all involved!
