Receiving feedback like this for North West Fire Training is what we love! Not only do we aim to train and teach fire safety but we want you to feel confident in the event of a fire, not scared! It's easy to say what you might do in the event of a fire or emergency but when you are actually in the situation, your actions might be very different. However, if you have the right training, you are definitely prepared. This is why Marshal Eye was created. We want a combination of Fire Safety training along with the right people, at the right time, in the right place. #northwestfiretraining #marshaleye

Retired battalion chief and freelance writer. Author of "Successful Transformational Change in a Fire & EMS Department: How a Focused Team Created a Revenue Recovery Program in Six Months--From Scratch"
I could not agree with you more, firerescuedad, with your comments to this article! Without all the facts, it seems to me that there was a serious mismatch between the training environment and what we've learned from NIST and IAFF and ISFSI about resetting the interior conditions (i.e., rapidly lowering the temperatures in the structure) prior to making entry. Transitional fire attack, along with controlling the flow path, improves interior condition and improves the survivability of any individuals still in the structure. And it darn sure make conditions better for the firefighters making entry to search and finish extinguishing the fire. #FireRescue1 #FireChief
