Let's give a round of applause to this month's Shield Spotlight recipient, Carly Tessmann! 🎉👏 Carly has been making a huge impact at EcoShield with her dedication and hard work. Want to know more about Carly and her incredible contributions? Keep reading below! 👇 🔹 When did you join EcoShield & what’s your position/role? I joined our “OG” Chicago branch in 2017 when I was just a little 21-year-old baby looking for a place to settle! I started out as a Start Tech and worked my way up to a Reg Tech, Field Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager, and now a General Manager of the Chicago North Branch! 🎉 🔹 What is your favorite part of your job? Everyone thinks it’s cheesy when managers or employers say this, but it truly is the people I work for. 🛡️💙 I love coming in each day with the goal to genuinely help my employees. I pride myself on creating as diverse and inclusive atmosphere as possible at my branch and our employees truly feel it! 🔹 What's one thing you would tell someone who was thinking about working at EcoShield? Do it. Even if you have some doubts, push those away and just do it. 💪 🔹 If you could pick just one, what would your "spirit bug" be? Hmmm. I would have to choose a honey bee! 🐝 I am super docile and just want to do my job all day every day! I won’t sting, as long as you don’t come after me or my people. 😜 🔹 Who would win in a fight: you or a Tarantula Hawk Spider Wasp? Pshhh it only sounds scary. Just give me a 25-foot pole and I’ll knock their nest right down no sweat. 😅 Maybe give me a bee suit first... or at least a can of wasp freeze. 😂 🔹 What's your secret talent/a fun fact about you? I have an identical twin sister! We are both managers in pest control. 🐜🚫 Not only is it rare to have women in pest control, but two identical twins is crazy! To be a fly one the wall at our family gatherings... it’s quite entertaining so I’ve been told. I guess it runs in the family! 👯 🔹 What is one word you would use to describe EcoShield? Life-Changing. 🙌

Unasked for advice for Creatives (especially those with less than 5 years of experience): when deciding whether to stay put or take a new job that doesn't include a huge bump in salary but will let you produce great work you can bank on later in your career, GO FOR THE WORK and the money will come. Go for the money and you might get trapped in a place where you'll never have the chance to do great work. #careeradvice #creatives #advertising #PR #communications
Thanks, ADWEEK and Kyle O'Brien for a great look back at first-ballot HOF-er David Lubars career. https://lnkd.in/gR6SPMZR

What 3 Things? Introducing the newest member of our Sales Team Pedro Pailin. We asked Pedro 3 fun questions: 1. What is your favourite pastime? "Gaming is my go-to for relaxation, it's my way of escaping and enjoying some well-deserved downtime." 2. What luxury Item would you take on a desert island? "I would take a portable home equipped with a de-salination water unit. This would serve as my shelter and a sustainable source of clean, drinkable water for hydration, cooking, and basic hygiene." 3. What are your ambitions for 2024? "In 2024, my primary ambition is to delve deep into the realm of water treatment equipment that Culligan has to offer. Culligan, renowned for its expertise in water solutions, presents an exciting opportunity for me to understand and explore cutting-edge technologies that enhance water quality. I am excited because this also aligns with my passion for environmental sustainability."

Well, now you get to learn 5 fun facts about Sheila 🖐️ 1️⃣ Go-to coffee order for work: "Dunkin’s... always decaf, with a touch of caramel and oat milk." 2️⃣ Music or silence for deep work? "It depends on the work, but for deep focus, you can find ocean sounds filling the silence." 3️⃣ Favorite team activity: "While I love a nice team dinner, I enjoy going to a good sporting event with the team and love when we can get together for paint night." 4️⃣ Best way to destress after work/favorite hobby: "I love reading or heading out for a drive to the beach. Sr. Executive Coach and Strategist at Transcend | A dynamic relationship builder passionate about maximizing and engaging talent throughout organizations
Sometimes just taking a deep breath and engaging in our playful sides is exactly what we need to reset and reengage in news ways in the business. Love this reminder Hayley that laughter, creativity, teamwork, and play can have a significant impact on our connections and our joy. #wellness #joy #teamwork #impact #BusinessPerformance
One of Transcend's team commitments is "Joy," and I truly experienced that during our Tri-annual meeting earlier this month. Jaci, Kevin, and Mike organized a scavenger hunt that included rollerblading, a gondola ride over Spokane Falls, and a merry-go-round ride - and those were just the first three stops! It was a fantastic reminder to embrace joy in everything we do… which is even sweeter when your team wins the competition! Special shout-out to Craig, Makenzie, and Kevin for that. 🥇 Here’s to more fun and memorable moments.

It’s Friday! Let’s Celebrate! We all know certain aspects of work/running a business can be stressful, but let’s lighten things up today! Wins can be anything from starting a new job, celebrating an employment milestone or pay raise, meeting financial/sales goals, hiring a new employee, finishing a successful presentation, or accomplishing a large project. Both for business-owners and employees alike, acknowledging these wins is extremely beneficial to the atmosphere of a company. Tell us—what's your go-to way to celebrate these victories? A: Treat yourself to a nice lunch B: Invest in a new gadget for yourself or your office C: High-five your team (or yourself!) D: Something else? Tell me in the comments!

What makes you unique? Everyone has a story, and our Hidden History series lets people share theirs in a way they feel most at ease. We have had people talk about the impact and meaning of topics as broad as Black History Month, Windrush, Welsh Valentine’s Day, Hannukah, Eid and Vulnerability to name a few. While we are proud of the safe space that we have created that allows people to step forward like this, we also love that we tackle this topic somewhat light-heartedly too. Each bi-weekly European Team Huddle kicks off with a quiz. This week’s was, "Where are they from?" We had fun guessing who used to do these jobs before joining us: Worked on an oil rig. Played semi-pro soccer. Sold solar panels. Was a Eurobond trader. Played pro golf. Was a roofer. I love hearing about our team’s past lives as it shows how diverse experiences shape who we are now. In an industry working hard to grow beyond old stereotypes, these stories help show that we all bring something unique to our roles. Can you guess who below had which former job above? a) Business Ops Director b) Executive Assistant c) Creative Director d) Product Manager e) Sourcing Buyer f) Managing Director Drop your guesses below... I'll give you a freebie: This Managing Director used to be a roofer 👀. #DEI #TeamCulture #UniqueStories #DiversityAndInclusion
