The new Real Estate Class for UNHWI...Berths at Marinas for their superyachts and many are looking at multiple locations! According to a report by Financial Times , as sizes relentlessly grow — some to Airbus scale — owners face a shortage of spots in the world’s pleasure zones large enough to berth them Of course it was referring to Jeff Bezos superyacht the Koru. It's one a half times the size of of an Airbus A380 at 127m, and eventually in Florida he had to moor it at an industrial port, due to shortage of berths to handle those sizes at Fort Lauderdale. And this phenomenon is worldwide. This now creating a demand for long term purchase of Berth Spaces and also the revenue from leasing them when your ride is at another venue. An example of values. A nine year leasehold for a 100m yacht in Porto Montenegro is around €7.72m and in Port Vaubhan (in most demand) is around €27.5m!!! A point to note though is that Marinas are now reconfiguring to accommodate bigger boats, as there is not enough berths available.
