We must embrace rejections as they are a part and parcel of our life. Coming from a mechanical engineering background, I was desperately yearning for a placement opportunity in an OEM core company during the start of my corporate career. I was almost there and even experienced the thrill of having selected into one for a day until the results were re-released the next day. Out of 300 candidates, I was fortunate to be among final initially selected 7 candidates. Unfortunately, company had to reverse their decision and select only 1 candidate and offered her a job. All that enthusiasm faded away in a day. Of course, there were my friends backing up to come out of that situation and start focusing on upcoming companies. It was really hard at that pre-mature phase to absorb rejections especially when you had conveyed your selection to your closer ones. But still, time heals everything and once again I focused on my placements and got selected into a Tier 1 core company. But this time, I was keeping my expectations low and waited for some time after announcement of results to share it with others. But, the excitement was not same as the earlier one as this was not an OEM. But still, I went ahead to explore the opportunity I was blessed with. To be frank, 6 years down the line, I realize that getting into a Tier 1 company during the initial phase of my career had given me immense learnings both in technical aspects as well as people management. Key benefits of getting into a Tier 1 at the start include better understanding of smaller circle of operations, broader exposure in any given domain, non robust process allow ground level learning which are not affordable when you directly get into an OEM. It helped me to get the basics set so that I can execute tasks swiftly and I did realize this explicitly when I switched over to OEM during the course of my career. On the other end, getting into OEM's at the start has other benefits like brand value, structured processes etc., Now, the point of discussion is not about OEM or Tier 1 but to accept with what you are blessed with and to take up the challenge forward with believing in self rather comparing yourself with others. #learnings #GET #corporateculture

Roboticist AI, Machine Intelligence enabling New Product Development into Manufacturing & Supply-Chain Operations
Continental may cut 5,500 jobs globally, report says with more than 1,000 jobs could be axed at 30 locations in Germany, mostly in administrative positions, ManagerMagazin reported; while, Production and development are likely to be spared for the time being. • Electrification for Sustainability • Robotics with Artificial Intelligence Will need domain Experts to advance EvolutionNext Industrialization. Many administrative staff have to SkillsFuture, but the question is what leading, development or productive roles they can pickup after retrenchment? Usually, most PME-40 won't know until being given the pinkslip. Towards 2030 of these 7-years, the Disruption will be tremendously immense. Terrible hard times for those cannot deal with Machine Intelligence and Circular Economy. For the good or bad, i will be retired by then, looking at volunteering my spare time for STEM Robotics Experiential Learning Leadership Initiative 🦾 Do consider joining me for Fun and SkillsFuture Ready with "free" lunch.

"Projects are coming"... "Pipeline is looking good"... "Opportunities on the horizon"... "Caught in a holding pattern"... "Recruitment Freeze"... "Budgetary Constraints"... Does this sound familiar? In January we securred roles for 3 highly skilled permanent candidates across the Smart Factory space, though with the amount of talented individuals I am working with who are actively looking for work, and the cream of the crop client base I have supplier terms agreed with, this placement figure should be higher... I know January in recruitment is always a slow month whilst management are waking up from Christmas hibirnation and returning from ski holidays, but it would be interesting to hear in our next discussions where the blockages are coming from in terms of halting certain areas of recruitment. Where are your workforce supply chain management issues and how can we help solve them? All signs for UK Manufacturing are showing positivity, and the need to push the sector forward as we aim for Industry 4.0, so if you are a Siemens, Dassault or PTC environment struggling to fill certain vacancies... partner with us. #hubudiotalent #hubudio #industry4 #smartfactory #smartmanufacturing #intelligentindustry

At Taizo.in, brilliance isn't a solo act—it's a team effort. Recently, our recruitment specialist, Leena Vijayakumar, crafted an incredible candidate screening technique. It was a game-changer, placing over 20 #machineoperator candidates in top Auto-component manufacturing companies in just a few days! Recognizing the power of this innovation, I urged Leena Vijayakumar to share her technique. It's crucial to foster a culture where ideas flow freely and are celebrated by the entire team. In the past, I've seen environments where leaders take credit for everything. It stifles creativity and collaboration. During our recent team meeting, Leena Vijayakumar took the lead, sharing her unique tactic with the team. The first 10 minutes were about empowering others with her knowledge. And let me tell you, it was inspiring! As a leader, my role isn't to claim ownership of every great idea but to highlight the brilliance that resides within the team. It's about amplifying their contributions and ensuring they receive the recognition they deserve. I firmly believe that the best leaders give credit where it's due, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued—even when they're not physically present. Let's celebrate the genius within our teams! Meanwhile, if you are an auto-component manufacturer in #tamilnadu seeking CNC/VMC machine operators? Experienced Project Manager with a demonstrated history in the semiconductors industry. Strong program and project management in R&D, Troubleshooting, Electronics, and Lithography.
Why would a company hire a consultant? This question i ask myself and find it a more difficult question as it seems. At #Akkodis consultancy is defined together with the customer. Does that mean a consultant should stick to the assignment and help the customer on the request only? Aurora Netherlands gave me the opportunity to shape my assignment as a consultant onsite. I observed and talked with emloyees and received a lot of information i could work with. When i shared my observation to the directors, i was happy to receive recognision and appreciation. Now i was able to start reshaping some key processes and setup a communication structure to improve internal and external stakeholder management. As a consultant i tried to provide a full scope of how processes and department responsibilities need to compliment eachother. Build on trust the daily routine changed and the next steps needed will be shaped by Aurora themselves based on the new direction given. I only helped in a first step, the rest should come naturally, if the implemented processes are not unearthly and complicated. My insight is not to bring new ideas or a "wow" effect. Just go back to what makes a company effective in what they do and focus on the simplicity of processes. My goal is to help a company to prepare for their next step, not to make them hire more people, but create efficiency and avoid double work. The customer is king and "yes" is the only answer, but does this mean that a good conversation cannot change views and open new opportunities? Should i expect this trust and mandate? what would you want to see from a consultant? #weareakkodis #engineering #Automotive, ASML, NXP Semiconductors
