What are possible career paths in #STEM? We helped answer this question for a group of students from a local KIPP high school. They heard from Fervo employees with backgrounds in engineering, development, and communication about why they love Fervo and the educational and career paths that brought them here. We make community building a core part of doing business. It was a delight to host these students, answer their insightful questions, and help set them on a course for STEM careers. #EnergyTransition #EGS #renewableenergyjobs #cleanenergyjobs

DYK: There's a shortage of STEM knowledge and technical skills for advanced manufacturing jobs. Based on a study conducted by the Manufacturing Institute and Deloitte, by 2030, the manufacturing skills gap could lead to approximately 2.1 million unfilled jobs in the U.S. Workforce development initiatives will redefine manufacturing jobs, so we’ve partnered with the Austin Regional Manufacturers Association (ARMA) to help fulfill the need for manufacturing careers. In doing so, E3’s Tiger Team has created three goals: Create a plan to enroll 1,750 new students (including reskilling adults) into advanced manufacturing pathways in the 2024-25 academic year. Deliver over 10,000 new employees to Central Texas advanced manufacturing companies within five years. Build a new framework for expanding to additional critical workforce sectors and other regions across the state. The dream is to support students and reskilling adults interested in pursuing a career in advanced manufacturing in our region. Watch the 30-second spot! https://lnkd.in/gi3432Ft To learn more about ARMA, visit: https://arma-tx.org/ #E3Alliance #AdvancedManufacturing

I am a Business Forward Council Member at the Silicon Valley Capital Club. We had a sponsored breakfast panel this morning on Creating New Pathways to Careers in which we discussed workforce development in a world where traditional career trajectories are no longer the "norm". As a part of this discussion I learned that there are some programs offered at local community colleges here in #siliconvalley to fund high school and college interns get work experience and work credits. For example, a community college would fund up to 50% of the salary of the intern and the host company would pay the other 50%. There is also a huge expansion of vocational programs to enable rapid entry of candidates into careers in high tech modern #manufacturing (specically companies like Tesla offer these programs). #rechargeday #education #newworldorder #businessforward Live The Dream Network, Inc https://lnkd.in/grrWB96m

B.Tech. in CSE (Graduating 2024) | Aspiring MERN Stack Developer | Proficient in Java, Python, C, C | Open to collaborations and continuous learning.
𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘆 𝗕.𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵. 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆: 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 I have just finished my final year end semester exams for B.Tech. yesterday, which signaled the end of an important chapter in my life. Peace, enthusiasm, and nostalgia are mixed up with thoughts and the bittersweet sense of soon having to say goodbye to classmates and friends . Reflecting on Taylor Swift's words, "𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝘆𝘁𝗵." resonates deeply with me today. Each challenge, late-night study session, and difficult exam has been a testament to growth and perseverance. It's about embracing the effort we put in, understanding that it's the journey that shapes us. In engineering, nothing is effortless; every problem solved and innovation achieved comes from dedication and hard work. Another one of her quotes that really applies today is, "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗶𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘄. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗶𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘄." Graduating brings a mix of uncertainty and freedom, often comes with the realization that you are now responsible for your own decisions and actions. But it's also cool as you now have the opportunity to take ownership of your future and achieve success on your own terms. To my professors, friends, and family who have supported me along this journey, thank you for being my pillars of strength. Your guidance and encouragement have been invaluable. As I take a time to pause and think, I am grateful for the unforgettable experiences and useful insights that B.Tech. has provided in my life. I will remember the moments of development, friendship, and academic success that have made me into the person I am today. #EngineeringJourney #Graduating #EngineeringLife #CareerMilestone #NewBeginnings #LifeLessons #TaylorSwiftQuotes

We're thrilled to be featured in a Technical.ly article and want to send a huge thank you to journalist Alanah Nichole Davis for raising awareness of this shift and crediting a generation that is redefining its career pathway. Ever thought about the next generation of skilled workers? Meet Gen Z, the "toolbelt generation!" Contrary to old stereotypes, today's skilled trades are far from just physical labor. With technology driving innovations, these jobs are becoming more sophisticated and future-proofed. Rising college costs are pushing many young folks towards trades. Did you know that since 1980, college expenses have skyrocketed by 169%? We believe it's time to explore these pathways further. Read the full article: https://bit.ly/4d0GQDW
