This shift not only underscores the need for technological adaptation but also highlights the demand for a workforce adept in the nuances of sustainable energy systems. Sage Geosystems Inc. is pioneering geothermal innovation in the heart of Texas. While most people are familiar with Fervo Energy, Sage is quietly making strides. Earlier this year the Houston-based company raised $17 million in Series A funding. This investment will finance their groundbreaking 3MW commercial geopressured geothermal facility in Texas. Sage's EarthStore technology harvests energy from deep underground pressurized water. It can store energy for both short and long durations, complementing intermittent renewables like wind and solar. This project marks a significant milestone in making Geopressured Geothermal System (GGS) technologies a commercial reality. It's a game-changer for baseload clean energy.
