🔬Exciting breakthrough for #womenshealth: While we knew that hormones and menopause wield significant influence over women's brains, recent post-menopausal brain scans provide tangible proof! 🧠 Examining these scans unveil alterations in brain metabolism and grey matter, associated with expected changes in memory and concentration. For many women, these changes appear to be a temporary adjustment before returning to a new baseline. ❔Based on these findings, a question our ZRT docs are interested in learning: Is this why estrogen supplementation at this time shows a decrease in dementia that we don’t see if people start hormones after the menopause transition? WOMEN'S HEALTH MONTH MAY 2024: THE ROLE OF BIOIDENTICAL HRT https://lnkd.in/g-tj_dJJ Being an integrative cardiologist practicing functional medicine, I've been a big proponent of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) for quite some time. However, given what we now know presently in light of the deeply flawed and dated Women's Health Initiative, we can see the merits of HRT in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. The goal before was to get women safely through menopause. That has changed. Now the goal is to get women through the rest of their lives feeling vibrant and healthy Make no mistake about it. When it comes to preventative heart health, bone health, and brain health, nothing comes close to HRT. There is not a pharmaceutical around that can duplicate the action of hormones. I find this fascinating—and I think you will too. Did you notice how so many perimenopause symptoms originate from the neck up? A recent study by Lisa Mosconi reveals that women actually develop more estrogen receptors in key areas of their brain during perimenopause—affecting emotion, memory, and temperature regulation. This is a huge discovery in the future developments of hormone receptor therapy as a way to prevent diseases like dementia. I highly recommend Dr. Mosconi’s incredible book, The Menopause Brain, to understand more about the origins of brain fog, mood changes and sleep disruption during the menopause transition. If you’re female …… 🧠🧠 ⚠️ Did you hear the news……. Probably not if you watch main stream news. So listen up 🧠❤️ if you keep up to date with neuroscience news ( which is more helpful than politics) you’d now know that they are looking at the menopause especially peri menopause. They now know the the brain shrinks quicker in perimenopause more than menopause. Perimenopause starts from the age of 30 up to around 45yrs and can last up to 10 years or more. A lot of perimenopause symptoms are neurological - hot flushes, brain fog, fatigue, anxiety along with many others. The green areas of the brain indicate low brain activity 😬😬😬 which leads to shrinkage. Perimenopause is now linked to soaring Alzheimer’s and cognitive decline rate. So what’s the answer …….. managing stress, improving neuro genesis, sorting sleep, improving focus and living a lifestyle the benefits you not only now but in the future. So if you care about your health DM and let’s get started.

Menopause Brain fog is real, according to the Mayo Clinic's Dr. Kling. It can be difficult to focus, think clearly, remember, and pay attention, which many women describe as their mind being "foggy". Other symptoms include slow reaction time, thought process and reduced awareness of surroundings and time. While IV Exosome infusions are indicated for a variety of neurological conditions, we know that improved focus, clarity, memory, and cognition are some of the expected outcomes. You're not alone, and you're also not confined to this fog.. call 815-412-6192 for an evaluation and treatment. #menopausebrainfog #brainfog #menopause #mayoclinic #memoryloss #mentalclarity #forgetful #cognition #earlydementia #TBI #traumaticbraininjury #menopausesymptoms #anxiety #depression #neurologicaldisorders #cantfindmykeys #stemcells #exosomes #infusion #IVstemcells #IVexosomes #mayoclinic
