Imagine producing #hydrogen so efficiently that it exceeds global targets set for 2050. 📈 This is now a reality thanks to the German-Australian #HyGATE project, a groundbreaking collaboration between Fraunhofer ILT and Hysata, to create the world's first #sustainable hydrogen #supplychain. Hysata has developed a revolutionary capillary electrolyzer that achieves an astounding system efficiency of 95% (41.5 kWh/kg), setting a new standard in the industry and exceeding IRENA's 2050 target. This electrolyzer uses small capillaries to evenly distribute water, significantly reducing energy consumption and making #greenhydrogen production more cost- effective and sustainable. The Fraunhofer ILT is also at the forefront, developing advanced laser-based processes for the production of key components such as ... 💧 Metal foam electrodes: Developed by the Fraunhofer ILT, these increase the reaction surface area and thermal conductivity, which are crucial for optimal #hydrogen production. 💧 Bipolar Plates: Using special laser microwelding techniques, the plates can be manufactured with increased precision. 💧 Nanofoams: By laser-inducing nanofoams, the catalytic converters are improved tremendously, making hydrogen production even more efficient. Want to learn more? Join Fraunhofer ILT at the fifth Laser Colloquium Hydrogen (LKH2) on September 10-11 in Aachen. Explore the future of hydrogen production, network with global experts and visit our state-of-the-art HydrogenLab. In November Advanced Ionics was noted as a next generation electrolyzer technology in Clean Air Task Force's report, Solid Oxide Electrolysis: A Technology Status Assessment. 👉 "Up-and-coming company Advanced Ionics claims to have created a hybrid design which conducts oxygen ions between electrodes but does not feature a brittle ceramic membrane. This innovation allows the electrolyzer to operate at a lower temperature range than with a conventional solid oxide. This is important because most industrial facilities operate at temperatures well below the range needed for conventional SOEC operation.” 👈 ✅ Lower Operating Temperature ✅ Lower Cost ✅ Higher Efficiency Read the full Report: https://lnkd.in/eeufdQyi #electrolyzer #greenhydrogen #cleantech #netzeroindustry #cleaninvestment #AdvancedIonics

Looking back at the recognitions of Advanced Ionics in 2023, see page 24 of the Clean Air Task Force report. Our Symbion electrolyzer is highlighted under the heading "Novel ionically conductive materials". The figure below that text shows some examples of heat integration at lower steam temperatures, which enhance our value proposition. The reason the report says is that "Lower operating temperature translates into less thermal stress, all the while improving the efficiency of integration with an external source of low-temperature process heat. This is important because most industrial facilities operate at temperatures well below the range needed for conventional SOEC operation (Figure 20)." https://lnkd.in/gaHVxh3K

We revolutionize fuel cell technology with precision laser processing! 🌟 Fuel cell technology is the promising technology for environmentally friendly generation of energy. It's efficient, converting hydrogen and oxygen into electricity. At LPKF, we lead the way with our Laser technology for the precise processing of solid oxide stacks. Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) form the core of fuel cell technology. The cells consist of several layers of different materials. Laser technology and its flexibility make it feasible to process a wide variety of material/stack compositions with the optimum process parameters to achieve the best possible quality.
