Representation matters.   Starting in 2022, Carson Group began annually commissioning a research study investigating the experiences and perceptions of both women and men on the opportunities and challenges faced by female advisors in the financial services industry. The intent is to conduct this study annually, tracking year-over-year changes in the experience of women in wealth management – financial advisors, operations leaders and firm owners – as well as the perceptions of that experience by women and men alike. #womeninwealth #carsongroup #ally

Today is #EqualPayDay. As we wrap up the work day, it's important to recognize that still, after all of these years of fighting, there is still a gap between what men and women earn for the same work. A recent report said women earn 18 cents less for every dollar a man earns. The Census Bureau came out today and said it's around 16 cents in general, but 22 cents less for women if you include seasonal and part-time workers. So, we're splitting the sad difference and highlighting 18. This number can depress us or it can embolden us. This #BBC 100 Women interview with #michelleobama #amalclooney and #melindafrenchgates was fascinating and well worth watching. As Amal Clooney says, despite all the publicity surrounding causes like this, and all the pledge of money and support from governments and big corporations, they often don't deliver or do not achieve the desired impact. If governments and corporations cannot be held to account through normal channels to honour their pledges and commitments, there has to be another way. #amalclooney suggested this is a role for lawyers, working pro bono, who can educate local women and girls about their rights. This is not disputed but it still does not make governments and corporations accountable. This is why we recently launched the #Scyrus© community co-operative and now inviting universities around the world to help us to develop the Scyrus© Score, which is based on decentralised social credit principles.
