𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄? The EN ISO 13849-1:2023 standard has recently been published in the Official Journal of the European Union! The transition period for this new standard is set until 15 May 2027, after which the previous standard, EN ISO 13849-1:2015, will be withdrawn. 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘁: The current Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC will be replaced by the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 on 20 January 2027. This means the practical transition period for EN ISO 13849-1:2015 will be slightly shorter. Overall, while these changes aim to improve safety and reliability, they also require manufacturers to invest time and resources into updating their processes, training staff, and ensuring compliance with the new standards. Familiarise yourself with these changes now to stay ahead of the curve! #FunctionalSafety I’m thrilled to have completed the ISO 26262 Crash Course: Functional Safety Mastery certification, adding valuable expertise to my functional safety knowledge. 🚗🔧 This certification has deepened my understanding of automotive safety standards, particularly ISO 26262, which ensures the functional safety of electrical and electronic systems within vehicles. Looking forward to applying this knowledge to future projects! “An argument without supporting evidence is unfounded, therefore unconvincing, and evidence without an argument is unexplained.” I had experience in Part 4, 5, and 7 and always felt the missing pieces—this course really helped me fill those blanks. Excellent work by Paul Danci—he clearly articulated the functions of each part of ISO 26262. He’s done an excellent job explaining different methodologies that we use to comply with ISO 26262 requirements, and I also want to thank him for his quick responses to the doubts I had during the course. #Functionalsafety #ISO26262 #IEC61508 #HARA #HAZOP #FMEA #FMEDA #FTA #CPA #ASIL #Vmodel #AutomotiveSafety #QualityEngineering
