I wanted to share an update that, unfortunately, I forgot to post this two months ago. Despite the delay, I believe it's essential to mention that the incredible journey with the NASA L'SPACE Program did indeed unfold during that period. Over the course of the past summer, I had the privilege of participating in the NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience (NPWEE). This program provided a unique opportunity to delve into the intricacies of writing and reviewing NASA proposals under the expert guidance and mentorship of John Dankanich, Sheri Klug Boonstra, and Dann Garcia. During the summer academy, my team and I worked on developing ideas related to flight vehicle systems, aligning our concepts with NASA's 2020 Technology Taxonomy, 2022 Strategic Plan, and the 2023-2032 Planetary Science Decadal Survey. The selected proposal, focusing on a flight vehicle system for land surveying, reconnaissance, weather collection, and autonomous flight, led me to the role of Principal Investigator for team 28 and our project, AEROTACT (Aero-Tactical Application for Remote Operations and Cargo Transportation). While our design wasn't fully completed during the summer course, I am determined to continue the development of AEROTACT, particularly leveraging its primary engine tilt-rotor technology for efficient fixed and horizontal flight in applications like remote operations, reconnaissance, and cargo transportation. Reflecting on this experience, it's worth noting that the delay in posting doesn't diminish the impact it had on my understanding of developing new technology aligned with industry needs. The skills acquired, such as registering new technology with NASA, creating and iterating using a quad chart, responding to industry solicitations, and understanding the proposal review process, are invaluable.
