Amazing concept, “healing wounds,” NOT just managing them! If you are a healthcare provider in the wound care space, it’s well worth your time to look into this game changing concept! #WoundBalance #HartmannWoundBalance
Wounds can be HEALED, not just “managed” and WOUND BALANCE is the key! 🔑 Thank you, HARTMANN, for the round table discussion in Charlotte, NC with providers who are as obsessed about wound care as I am Kelly Horner Chrystalbelle Rogers MSN, RN, CWCN, CENP Dr. Alison J. Garten Jason Curry

Until now, a common perspective has been to compare the product safety of medical devices with the standards of the aviation industry. However, due to my involvement with peripheral vascular access, I must revise this comparison significantly. The failure and complication rates with PIVCs are shockingly high as experts confirm. Hence my perhaps somewhat naive question: Would you embarque on a plane knowing that - one in four take-offs needs to be repeated? - 50% of flights have to be stopped prematurely before they even reach their actual destination? - in a third of cases, the flow of vital operating fluids is disrupted by kinked/occluded tubing? It is encouraging that I notice an increasing awareness for these serious problems. Would you like to learn more about this topic? Please visit: https://ebnetmedical.com/
There is a bold movement happening here that we all need to emulate. The UK and strong clinical and patient advocates like Andrew Barton stood up to say no more to preventable IV injuries. Today, the entire IV Therapy Summit was dedicated to the education, awareness, and reduction of IV extravasations. The culture of silence ends now. Special thank you to Todd Heslep BSN, RN, Paramedic, VA-BC for opening up the event today to share his passion and experiences on how to improve patient outcomes. We live with NF2 every day and sadly we dont get a break for holidays though unfortunately, so everything had to be scheduled around visits to the hospital for Avastin. Pop the kettle on a grab your favourite cuppa to have a read of todays blog https://lnkd.in/e2344ywg Reading real life stories about how NF2 affects people help others to understand why we need better treatments. Please help us to make that happen by donating to research, sharing your story & raising awareness. #endNF2 #NF2awareness #NF2Schwannomatosis #schwannomatosis #NF2support #nf2 #nf2family #nf2warrior #LetstalkNF2 #nf2charity #nf2cure #nf2treatment #nf2gene #nf2chromosome22 #nf2trials #nf2diagnosis #nf2lifeexpectancy #nf2prognosis #nf2research #nf2ismyteam #nf2awarenessday #nf2journey #StrongerTogetherAgainstNF2

I love what I do. Everyday at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospitals across the country our amazing therapists help people get their lives back. Against all odds, our outcomes are truly inspiring. Every single person, regardless of age or medical complexity, deserves the chance to regain their quality of life. Always fight for your loved one. Learn the differences between a skilled nursing facility and an inpatient rehabilitation facility. Being informed can make the difference between remaining incapacitated or walking back into a functional life. Know the difference before making decisions for yourself or your loved one. I am happy to educate anyone who needs guidance. #encompasshealth #superioroutcomes #inpatientrehabilitation
At 34, Danielle Easley, a single mom of three, had a stroke. She was told by her medical team at the hospital that she would never walk, talk or be able to take care of herself again. Upon arrival at our rehabilitation hospital in Parkersburg, West Virginia, she couldn't do any of those things. She required a Hoyer lift to get out of bed and could not complete a simple task such as scratching her nose. With dedication and hard work, Danielle beat the odds. She never gave up and pushed herself beyond measure. Danielle was known by everyone at our hospital, even other patients. She was an inspiration to us all and the definition of success. At discharge, she proudly walked out of the hospital with a walker. We are so proud of you, Danielle! Thank you for trusting us with your care. Find an Encompass Health location near you to learn how our rehabilitation experts can help you get back to what matters most after a stroke, other injury or illness: https://ehc.rehab/4bSpuYv
