To keep advancing in this fast-paced world, FORVIA joins Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA) Board members alongside Ford, BMW, Stellantis, Bosch, Aptiv and others to contribute and accelerate the development of open standards and technologies for connected vehicles. Dr. Tara Akhavan, Software Solutions & Ecosystem VP will represent FORVIA on the COVESA Board. COVESA is a global alliance that brings together like-minded leaders to develop and unlock the full potential of connected vehicles, and FORVIA was already a co-chair working in standardizing the Android Automotive platform to onboard more app developers, so bringing more apps into the car. Well, our joint venture Faurecia Aptoide Automotive, created a standard white labeled platform called “Apps market”, where we bring top apps from the smartphone directly into the car, connecting the digital world to the cockpit environment.
