𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙤𝙧 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡? 💭 Recently, my focus has been contacting SAP managers and senior managers, and one trend speaking with these candidates was the topic of their area of responsibility, which boiled down to Strategic 🧠 or Technical 🤖 Currently, the SAP market is in higher demand of Technical managers, people who are involved in the systems, hands on, first hand on the customising, configuring and Implementing along with their team and a point of guidance for more junior colleagues. 🧑💻 However, Strategic reasonability is a lot more popular among candidates, where they're more customer facing, understanding the client needs and translating to the IT team, developing relationship and starting new ones. 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧! According to IDC - there are 1,600,000 people working in the SAP Ecosystem. I need to find some others who are like me: 1. SAP Technical consultant for 𝟐𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 with at least 𝟐 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 you have served for 𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, preferably a client you have returned to after leaving. 2. I want to know that your customers 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮, and 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮. And that you have been able to adapt to SAP changes over time. Why? My clients will soon be embarking on their S/4 upgrades, and they have a backlog of ECC work to get through before that. I need to add more part-time/as-needed subcontractors or employees to my team to help my clients prepare and execute their S/4 upgrades. 𝐈 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞: 1. I will not tech-interview you. 2. I will not ask for certifications. 3. I do not expect you have 𝟏𝟎 years working with something SAP released only 𝟓 years ago. 4. I will not waste your time with an insulting hourly rate. I seek professionals like my current team--those who deliver results and make their clients happy. Get me references who will attest to that, and I want you on my team. If you've been a solo-operator for a long time, I know joining a team may feel odd. It felt weird to me at first to use subcontractors. However, since I've grown my team: we all help each other out and it has made delivering excellent work product both easier and more enjoyable. Let's ride out 10 more years of SAP together, and get all of my clients up and stable on S/4.
