Creating a harmonious and inspiring workspace has become a vital objective for contemporary office design and requires matching architectural stairs.  For this project, two sets of stairs and a large void with a balustrade were fabricated and treated to meet the presented aesthetics in the Officeworks headquarters. One exciting part of the project was the architect's choice of a cantilevered stair for levels one and two, which required a point of difference in engineering and fabrication.  The cantilever design allows for a minimalistic approach, as they typically do not require visible supports. This creates an open and airy feel, promoting a sense of spaciousness and allowing light to pass through, making the area feel more inviting. Additionally, the terracotta colour was chosen to help create a calm atmosphere, reducing stress and enhancing focus and creativity. And given that this is the leading office supplies retailer with 167 stores nationwide, you would want your staff to have an edge to be the best.  Once again, a big thanks to our team and the team at Shape for making this a great project.
