2023 was a year of growth for TriMetrix and WRMA! We had our most active proposal season yet and the results were gratifying. We’re excited by new projects and the renewal of existing contracts that advance our clients’ impactful initiatives. Here's a glimpse at some of the highlights as we reflect on this past year. ➡️Established a Master Service Agreement for consulting, marketing, and education services with the State of Nevada. ➡️Partnered with the Department of State to provide staffing support and assist with an international conference officers task order. ➡️Continued our partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Child Care on the National Center on Subsidy Innovation and Accountability, a contract we’ve held since 2011. ➡️Launched the Early Childhood Workforce Connector through our contract with the Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship. ➡️Partnered with the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living on an Adult Protective Services Opioids Study, and on its Older Americans Act Performance System (as a subcontractor to Radiant Technologies). #Workexperience benefits so many young people by gaining knowledge and experience in their industry of interest. These experiences can provide the foundation on if it is the career pathway for them or if they need to change course to a different industry or job. Consider offering work experience or even giving opportunities such as mock interviews is incredibly valuable.

On October 5 2023, I was honored to be able to present on NOCO Works to the National Council on Workforce Education (NCWE) at the 2023 yearly summit. Our regional model was met with interest and several folks who attended the session I led were able to share their experiences with regional workforce and economic development collaborations with which they have been involved.  An interesting theme emerged regarding the discomfort and challenges that arise when we bring greater structure and organization to the work. There was a general sense that collaborations, such as ours, need to move in this direction of alignment for shared progress. However, the attendees did not have successful experiences to share in making the leap from being a loose collection of like minded individuals and entities to an organized coalition that will bring its shared energy to bear on key shared themes, with structure, resources, and shared goals. I am grateful to have been able to attend the NCWE meeting and bring these other experiences back to our fold. I am encouraged by the strong planning work that NOCO Works is doing - having a fiscal entity to work with  (Community Foundation of Northern Colorado),  support from Larimer and Weld County Leadership, regional Chambers of Commerce, seed funds from the Weld Trust, intense engagement of so many partners and so much more. I firmly believe NOCO Works is making essential progress in developing the required reporting structures, shared goals, shared data, as well as organizational principles and practices. NOCO Works will soon have tangible successes to report, and examples to share in other forums such as NCWE. Unsurprisingly, there was a full house at todays launch of the High Level Design of the Department for the Economy NI new renewable electricity support scheme as part of the RenewableNI and A&L Goodbody LLP seminar series. Lots of questions around timing, terms and conditions, dispatch down and constraints compensation to mention a few things. The details are yet to be bottomed out however the Department is keen to continue engagement with the industry to help shape the details which we welcome. As highlighted by Mark Stockdale, there are key lessons to learn from previous rounds of the CFD and RESS auctions that can be taken on board to refine the final NI design. Implementation of the scheme is critically important for investor confidence in Northern Ireland and will help drive development of the c.1,900MW of additional generation needed to get to 2030. Planning and grid timelines remain challenging however and will also need to be accelerated in order to reap the full benefit of the scheme given there will only be 2 auctions prior to 2030.
