There is a question that has been circulating in my head for a while now. We have proof of concept in that our Leaders Plus Fellowship is making a huge difference to help working parents progress their careers against the odds (63% promoted or into a more senior role e.g. board role). This matters because helping working parents progress up the career ladder is a key to solving the gender pay gap. (Details here https://lnkd.in/eBvRDiA4) But how do we increase the scale of our impact by supporting more working parents and working with more employers? Under Nina Grayson (DipM)'s brilliant leadership and vision, we had a whole team of PwC colleagues helping us think through this for #PWCOFOD. I really loved how much thought you put into designing the day Nina Grayson (DipM), Alice Huang Miller and Lauren Ross CF, APMP to ensure it would be maximum value add. Thank you Jimmy Antonin for the new ideas around pricing and for the printout which you created for me on the day – super helpful, thanks Kirsty Parker for all your brilliant insights and practical suggestions on quick improvements to the website, thanks Elaine Pritchard for the shoes ideas and targeting advice – will definitely follow up on this, and Jonathan Acquarone for lots of excellent ideas including around benchmarking and non execs, Tom Harle for his willingness to bring ideas to a new area, David Rowland for new ideas around engagement and thanks David Nelson for sparing your team for a day! Our aim as a team was to walk away with one helpful idea that takes less than 30 mins to implement next week, a bigger idea to work through with our partners in the next month and a change to our thinking. This has been surpassed. Thanks all.
As part of PwC UK's annual day of volunteering, "One Firm, One Day", our Deals Sales & Marketing team joined forces with Leaders Plus. Leaders Plus helps working parents to progress in their careers whilst enjoying their young families. Working with Leaders Plus' team of Verena Hefti MBE FRSA, Jo Denoris, Helen Fraser, Nicola Groombridge, Rosamaria Gugliotta and Laura Dainton (Tilley), we brought our specialist sales and marketing skills to the table to see how we could help Leaders Plus to achieve their ambitions and #ReimagineThePossible. PwC's purpose is to build trust in society and to solve important problems. Yesterday really enabled us to embody that. I'm feeling so #PwCproud to have such wonderful colleagues: Lauren Ross CF, APMP, Alice Huang Miller, David Rowland, Elaine Pritchard, Jimmy Antonin, Tom Harle, Jonathan Acquarone, Kirsty Parker, Jo Harry, Sam Owen, David Nelson. This year our theme at EY is neurodiversity in a changing world and what it means for the future – for our people, our clients and society.
