Thank you Belén Garijo for sharing, fully endorse and would like to expand on this. Disability does not always appear physically as many #neurodivergent talented individuals need flexibility to be allowed to demonstrate their potential. #adhd #autismspectrumdisorder and #dyslexia have significant advantages in some situations but do not always allow #talent to be fitting into obvious job categories. In addition, age should not also be a barrier as we need to address the potential economic impact of the lack of workers to the economy Supporting evidence in this very informative report from KfW https://bit.ly/44wy7nN "Germany would need well over one million migrants each year to replace retiring skilled workers" and being an immigrant myself from Germany from UK, I know how this process is not always simple. As part of the global #diversityequityandinclusion group at Danaher Corporation I am always delighted and take #pride when we bring #diverse talent to where #thebestteamwins with diversity also meaning age. “Disability inclusion is a journey, not a destination. Let us come together, as individuals, companies, and communities, to build a world that is truly inclusive, where disabilities are no longer seen as obstacles, but as catalysts for innovation, progress, and human flourishing,” says Belén Garijo. Our CEO beautifully expresses our commitment to fostering an accessible and inclusive workplace. At Merck, we understand that disability inclusion extends beyond hiring individuals with disabilities. It's about empowering every employee with equal opportunities for training, development, and advancement. Together, we'll build a workplace where everyone thrives. #EmbraceDiversity #EquityNow #InclusionMatters

Many companies claim to be committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace, but are they truly inclusive? Often, there is a focus on gender and race, neglecting other groups who are equally important. One such group is people with disabilities. They are frequently overlooked in DE&I efforts, which can be a mistake for any business. Check out this informative article on the importance of including people with disabilities in your diversity and inclusion initiatives. Let's work towards a truly inclusive workplace for all. #Diversity #Inclusion #DisabilityAwareness https://lnkd.in/em3XxQ3T
