New Episode for March 4th,2024 (Part 5) Empowered Leaders, Empowered Women: Taking Action for Change I have explored the complex issue of the glass ceiling, acknowledging both internal and external factors. Now, let's shift our focus to YOU, the leaders of today, and your critical role in shattering the glass ceiling for women leaders Remember the importance of perceived organizational support from Eisenhower's 1986 study? It's crucial for employee advancement, especially in leadership roles. But do women feel equally supported? Often, the answer is no. Here's the gap we need to bridge: • Low representation: Women are significantly underrepresented in leadership roles, and diversity isn't always a priority. • Limited access: Leadership positions, beyond HR, often remain out of reach for women. • Lack of programs: Many companies lack female-specific development programs, and crucial support for childcare and eldercare is often absent. • One-off initiatives: Instead of sustained efforts, companies often rely on isolated initiatives like one-time training programs. • Limited measurement: Most organizations don't track or measure progress in female leadership development. But here's the good news: research shows women are equally effective with men in leadership, especially in transformational skills—a critical asset in today's complex world. So, leaders, what can you do? Reflection on the following questions may help: ❓ How can we actively promote diversity and inclusion in leadership selection and development? ❓ Do we create opportunities for women to showcase their talents and contributions? ❓ Do we provide mentorship and support to women aspiring to leadership roles? ❓ How can we advocate for policies that address childcare, eldercare, and flexible work arrangements? ❓ How can we track and measure progress in female leadership development within my organization? By taking action in these areas, you become champions for women's advancement and contribute to building a more inclusive and successful future for all. Stay tuned for the final part this week as we are approaching 8th of March ❤️ If this resonates with you, empower others by sharing with your network. #8thmarch #womensday2024 #WomenLeaders #DiversityInclusion #WomenEmpowerment #Empowerment #LeadershipDevelopment #leadership #leadershipspeaker #leadershipquote #leadershipcoach #leadershipcoaching #leadershipdevelopmentcoach #pwn #turkishwin #kagider #yönetimkurulundakadın

Why do women’s engagement levels drop at senior leadership positions? 💡 Women Lead in Engagement: Across most levels, women show higher engagement than men. However, this changes at senior leadership levels. 📉 Leadership Challenge: As women reach top positions, their engagement advantage vanishes, equalizing with men’s engagement. 🔍 Root Causes: Leadership roles can be isolating for women, lacking camaraderie and emotional support, leading to shorter tenures compared to men. 🚀 Solutions for Boosting Engagement: 1. Flexible Work Arrangements: Ensure no compromise on pay or career growth. 2. Bias Correction: Address pay disparities transparently. 3. Mentorship & Networking: Provide strong support systems for women leaders. 🌟Action Steps for Companies: - Conduct gender parity audits. - Foster an empowering and inclusive culture. - Commit to diversity and inclusive leadership opportunities. Empower your female leaders to thrive, ensuring engaged teams and a thriving organization! 💪🌍 #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement #DiversityAndInclusion

I continue to be in awe of the incredible women leaders I have encountered throughout my career and salute each of them today as we celebrate #InternationalWomensDay! When I think about my corporate career, I saw it as my mission to consistently champion diverse pipelines in the workplace - and in particular - helping to prepare women for success and impact as they rose in their leadership roles. While I had peers who were aligned in the same belief, some complied only when challenged. In today's blog, The Power of Potential, I break down the importance of the leadership pipeline guided by research from the 2023 McKinsey & Company's "Women in the Workplace" Annual Report, including: 🔹 What has progress looked like in recent years? Is it real and/or sustainable? 🔹 What is the ONE criteria we must assess for in our talent? 🔹 How can you commit to strengthening the pipeline in your business? As we celebrate Women's History Month, what actions will you commit to for 2024? Cheers to all the women leaders out there and those who champion them every day!✨ Blog: Power of Potential https://lnkd.in/guikMZbD #IWD2024 #glassceiling #womeninbusiness #leadership #diversity #HR #talentpipeline #womenshistorymonth

We're on a mission. A mission to… ➜ Increase women's leadership across the globe. ➜ Fully integrate the female perspective. ➜ Create a new paradigm for power. Why? 1. Women hold only 38% of manager roles compared to 62% of men 2. Companies with 30% female executives earn 15% more profit 3. Gender-diverse teams are 21% more likely to outperform … and this only scratches the surface of why empowering female leaders is essential to the workplace. How do we achieve it? We begin by empowering women to be seen. Be heard. And live and lead from the truth of who they are. We accelerate the leadership potential in your workplace by delivering the tools, training, and connections to help women transform how they show up in work and everyday life. Together, we can drive cultural change – one female leader at a time.
