We at #Evo3Events KNOW that #sustainability ♻️ is the future, and the Event Sustainability Live Expo continues to enforce the importance of keeping the planet 🌎 in mind especially when curating the #perfectevent for your business! ✨ Here are the main takeaways we want you to think about 💡 when creating a #sustainable event: 1️⃣Sustainability isn’t just a trend, it’s a mantra 💚! From the get-go, include it into every aspect of your event and make it a part of your #companyculture 🎨. Because when it's genuine and heartfelt, it shines past your event’s photos! 🌟 2️⃣Remember we’re all in this together, especially when it comes to sustainability! Choosing venues and vendors that are like minded in knowing the importance of taking strides 👟 to be sustainable while bringing your event authentic success🏆. 3️⃣It never hurts to ask more questions 💭 and more from your vendors! Ask them what they do to enforce sustainability, set #expectations for their future actions for your event, and make these expectations clear 👓 in your RFPs (Request for Proposals). We hope this gives you #inspiration for your next event and if you have any questions or would like to get the Evo3 Events #expertise feel free to DM or message us for more information! #Events #SaveThePlanet #EventExperts #WomanOwned #CuratedEvents #WorldwideEvents

To create high-quality "special event" creations, it is necessary to have an operational model that is strategic, methodical, and efficient in both its initial and final implementation. This operation is crucial for ensuring the ultimate success of event management. Comprehensive performance metrics are precisely contrasted to create a harmonious blend of "modelling and operation" resulting in an ideal combination. An exemplary and intellectually stimulating model to examine is the Turn, Norton, and Wright (2005) model. The elegant and sinuous contours along the whole span are very captivating, despite their potential antiquity. Nevertheless, the foundational principles possess the capacity to evolve into more intricate forms and seamlessly integrate with other event production frameworks, including elements such as style, administration, and other auxiliary factors. Organisers are increasingly expected to be flexible and innovative, while also offering a range of experience alternatives that will appeal to event attendees. Ultimately, the effective establishment of sustainable event management has the capacity to promote the expansion and advancement of a particular facet of tourism in rural, urban, and national contexts, including a diverse range of event types. In the future, event operation models will display a greater range of vivid colours and will be crucial in responding to changes that need profound reflection, emotional impact, and optimism. The manager's income component will be influenced by several factors, including the environmental, socio-cultural, economic, technical, political, and institutional management elements of the stakeholders involved, which will progressively increase in importance. The sustainability aspect more complex and difficult to evaluate and become one of the biggest threats to delivering a great experience for a visitor 🙏 (source: Management of Event Operations, 2005) Julia Tum, Philippa Norton, and J. Every year I like to spotlight some of the sustainable event suppliers who have given the work we do that extra sparkle. Check them out! Go and use them for your events! 1. Ticketbutler have taken the concept of sustainable conference badges and lanyards to the next level, with lanyards made from recycled paper and delegate badges made from repurposed floppy disks. Take a look on Legacy Marketplace - Sustainable Sourcing for Events & Merchandise if you're looking for badge suppliers that spark conversation about sustainability. 2. Norway ticks many boxes as a sustainable destination. If you do decide to hold your event there then (obviously) get in touch with Legacy, but then contact Børre Tangen at Crazy Coyote Events. He's basically the Norwegian MacGyver, with all sorts of contacts and tricks in his repertoire to ensure a smooth running event. 3. Finding an affordable yet sustainable event venue in central London can be a challenge. White Rabbit Studios in Shoreditch is a gem, with flexibility across its multi-use spaces and a team committed to sustainability to match. Finally, this has been a rollercoaster year at Legacy, with the highest highs and the lowest lows. I couldn't be more proud of my team. Thanks for all your support - Carole, Libby, Iga, Angela, Marion, Jane and Kamlesh - here's to a fantastic 2024! 🎉 #sustainableevents #sustainability #sustainablesuppliers

500 events later, here's what I know about sustainable events. If you want your event to be remembered and for attendees to take action, you must become a better storyteller. A lot of best practice in event sustainability revolves around numbers and figures and telling people what to do. As a result, little information is retained, and no action is taken. Here’s why your sustainable event needs a story: - To simplify information. - Make complex information memorable. - To connect on a human level and show personality. - Modify people's behaviour to take action when the event is over A good story needs a character, and our local heroes tell the story best. It's the local heroes who make a difference in their destinations EVERY SINGLE DAY. They are the local people who go beyond everything and believe in a better world. And we are so lucky to work with them and bring them to share their knowledge that can make a big impact when the event is over. They bring their skills and talents to present complex topics in an interactive and engaging way that blends art and education. I want to introduce our local hero, the biologist Carmelo Isgrò. Carmelo had the idea to realise the Museum of the Sea in Milazzo (MuMa), after having recovered and cleaned the bones and then rebuilt the skeleton of a whale. MuMa is not a typical museum of the sea, rather, it is a site where science and art blend and expand. This is a unique event venue where your group can learn about the human-caused effects on nature and the necessary changes to make regarding the relationship between humans and the sea. Event attendees will become aware of the issue through spending time with Carmelo and understanding the steps to take to create a positive impact in their personal and professional environments. How do you incorporate storytelling into your events? —------------ We share more stories from our heroes in our newsletter.
