Healthy community isn't the absence of conflict, it's the presence of transformative struggle. 🚫Conflict implies "us vs. them." 🔄Struggle implies "we're in this together." As much as we don't like conflict in our society, I think we prefer it because at least there is clarity. We know who is on which side and what ideologies everyone adheres to. The problem is that in this structure, resolution and restoration rarely occurs. It's an ongoing tit for tat. A transformative struggle is ambiguous and abstract, meaning that things are undefined and there are a lot of unknowns. We're uncomfortable with those feelings.
