It is about that time! We are looking to hire staff for the winter season and beyond at the Hoffmann Hotel. This post is going to be a little long, but please read through if you are interested. I will probably post a couple times. If you have any questions just reach out to me through Facebook, email, or leave me a voicemail. The best way to get the ball rolling would be to email me a resume or work history and we can take it from there. The email is in the picture. The start date is a little fluid at this time, but it would likely be late November or early December for most positions. The leadership positions would likely start a little sooner than that. Trust me, I know there are a lot of options in the hospitality field in this area, but I am going to take a shot at what I think makes this place special. It is a Hilton Hotel and comes with Hilton benefits for full-time and part-time staff. Great Place to Work (GPTW) and Fortune named Hilton #2 on the 2023 Best Companies to Work For list in the U.S. Stop driving or taking the bus to Aspen and Snowmass – Save 6-10 hours a week by ending your trip at Willits. Think of all the gas $ and time you could save in a year. Wouldn’t it be nice to get paid for that time. Awesome brand-new property that you will help build into something special in the valley. Free Hotel Nights Competitive pay and benefits (medical, dental, 401k) Wicked cool GM We are looking for part-time and full-time employees in the following areas: housekeeping lead, housekeeping attendants, housepersons, laundry, front office agents, front office leads for day and night shift, night auditor, maintenance attendants, waiters, bartenders, kitchen crew, kitchen supervisor. Most hourly positions start at $22/hour. I will also be hiring the following full-time salary leadership roles. Links are for applying on LinkedIn. The job descriptions are pretty boiler plate but hit me up with any additional questions you may have. F&B Manager/Chef&B Manager/Restaurant Manager - https://lnkd.in/gcc5bikF Director of Maintenance - https://lnkd.in/gGxShfs8 Executive Houskeeper – https://lnkd.in/gZ6jk2aK I know I am forgetting stuff but hope to get lots of interest and build an awesome team. Looking forward to speaking with those interested. Doug

Professor of Human Resources; Resume Writer-Slayer; Career Coach; Books' Author; Workshop Leader; Content Creator/Editor; I Am MY #1 Brand; Career Bad-ssery Expert
Krista Whiting, CSAM posted about being kind to retail staff this week and all holidays. She recounted her experiences working retail and how nasty people were to her. As a fellow Admin Assistant, McDonalds, Burger King, 7-Eleven worker, I know exactly what she meant, when she encouraged people to not be butt holes to people just doing their job. But, as I mentioned, it's a class issue, too. Doctors, lawyers, nurses, pilots, electricians, and plumbers, etc. all work on holidays and interact with the public: But how many people scream "I don't have to pay attention to you?" to them (as they're working to help you, no less)? Of course, some do, but not like the nastiness that us former retail/fast food/restaurant/hotel staff get. All work is valuable. You're not trash because you take out trash. You're not special nor deserve praise because you were nice to admin staff or retail workers. You're just doing what you should do, anyway. No one is "better" than anyone else because of their job or lack thereof. Some of the most important people this week: Grocery store employees and Amazon/FedEx/UPS delivery talent. Happy Thanksgiving. Need Career Coaching? Or a Standout Resume? Contact Me #beyourbestbrand #bebestcareerarchitect #resumes
