Did you know that 95% of travelers only visit 5% of the planet? 🌎 At Evaneos, we truly believe that traveling off the beaten paths or off season, away from overcrowded places, is the best way to discover the world. To inspire you, here are some alternatives or similar destinations to heavily visited spots: - Looking for a white sandy beach with turquoise water? Why not exploring Albania instead of Greece? 🇬🇷 - Interested in discovering a major Asian city? Opt for South Korea over Japan. 🏙️ 🎯 Our goal is to promote destinations with low tourist density so that travelers can enjoy their stay while respecting the local wildlife and flora. Therefore, avoiding a region altogether isn't the solution to overtourism. Choosing to travel differently have a more positive impact on the destination. For instance, Tanzania is best visited in early May, just after the rainy season! #SustainableTravel #BetterTrips #ResponsibleTourism #Overtourism

There might be a typo in your text about Asia, as Japan is one of the most touristic places in the world (14th in terms of volume for 2023, according to Statista). If you want, you can find a very low tourist density in the former USSR republics, as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan, or else in Myanmar or Mongolia. Even South Korea itself is quite a discrete place to visit. But turning to lesser-known destinations is definitely great advice! There are so many different countries and regions, all offering unique and breathtaking features... As travellers, we should really take the time to get curious about what they have to provide in a responsible and respectful way!

This is a fantastic initiative! Traveling off the beaten path not only provides a unique and enriching experience but also helps to mitigate the negative impacts of overtourism. Exploring lesser-known destinations like Albania and South Korea offers a fresh perspective and supports local communities. It's all about finding the right time and place to travel thoughtfully and sustainably. Keep inspiring us to discover the world in a more meaningful way!

This is so interesting! 👏👏 I love the idea of exploring lesser-known destinations like Albania or South Korea. I think that by traveling in this way, we not only discover incredible places, but we also contribute to more sustainable and responsible tourism. Thanks for sharing these tips! 🌍

I have visited Albania AND Greece; I am going to visit Japan this summer AND will visit South Korea for sure. Why choose? Visit all. What you should do tho is visiting less touristic paths in mainstream countries.

We'd like to recommend Mudurnu, Türkiye. This is an ancient Silk Road and Slow City that is truly a remarkable place. It is part of our Black Sea Sustainable Rural Tourism Program and is only a little over 2 hours by car (6 by bus)from Istanbul.
