I am thrilled to announce that at the ESTIV General Assembly, held in Prague last week, I have been re-confirmed as the President of the European Society of Toxicology in Vitro ESTIV for my second term (2024-2028). It is an honor to continue serving this esteemed organization and to work alongside such a dedicated and passionate community. Four years is a long time, but together we were able to grow the society, strengthen collaborations, and witness the increasing interest in our society. 🙏 I want to express my deepest appreciation to the entire Board for their invaluable contributions over the past term (2020 - 2024) when I took over after the excellent presidency of Mathieu Vinken (ESTIV president 2016-2020). Dear Board members, your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in advancing our mission and achieving remarkable milestones in the field of in vitro and in silico toxicology. My BIG thanks go to: Amer Jamalpoor, PhD, ERT (ESTIV Treasurer), Arno Gutleb, Benoît Maisonneuve - PhD, Bambou TAN, Andreas Stucki, Mohamed Fathi Abdallah, Anne Marie Vinggaard, Iva Sovadinová, Marketa Dvorakova, Ph.D. , Erin Hill (#ASCCT representative) and Yasu Kanda (#JSAAE representative) and all past members who served in the board during my presidency: João Barroso (past Vice-president, co-chair of ESTIV 2022), Iwona Wilk-Zasadna, Sofia Batista Leite, Paul Jennings , Tim Allen, Jochem Louisse and Erwin van Vliet (past ESTIV treasurers), Chantra Eskes (past member of the control committee). A special thank you to: Clive Roper BSc PhD CBiol CSci ERT FRSB Roper, our Vice-President, for his unwavering support and leadership and for co-chairing the #ESTIV2024 in Prague. Denisa Svatkova, ESTIV administrative secretary via GUARANT International, for her meticulous attention to detail and organizational prowess. The PCO Klinkhamer | conferences & events, for their outstanding efforts in organizing two successful congresses in Barcelona-Sitges 2022 and Prague 2024 and the next one in Maastricht (June 29-July 2, 2026). A special personal thanks are extended to Desiree Coenen, Anne Dassen, Nadia Debie, Robbin Grouwels and Niels Klinkhamer - they make the congresses fly.... 🌟 As we embark on this new journey - I am delighted to see many new members who are joining us after the #ESTIV2024 in Prague.
