📣 This is our "appeal of 18 June" to EU leaders: what will you work on for the next 5 years? 👨🔧 Re-industrialisation? #Digitalisation? #Energytransition? Supply chain resilience? A common thread to all these files, and many more, is: recruiting the #skilled talents able to make Europe thrive in a complex world. With 1️⃣ 7️⃣ other European associations, we just reached out to the 27 governments and the European Commission to highlight the relevance of integrating further the labour agenda with the broader European agenda. 🙋♀️ Policymakers must address systemic skills and labour shortages as a top priority for Europe’s transformation, so that the labour market is an enabler rather than an obstacle to realise the objectives set in Europe for the past 5 years. EuropeOn is one of the 400 organisations teaming up to call on EU policymakers to confirm the #GreenDeal in the new policy cycle. Since 2019, the Green Deal has set a vision with clear objectives. Our #electrical contracting companies and professionals now want to deliver and avoid any stop & go. This would be detrimental to our capacity to build a society defined by #decarbonisation, comfort, #energyefficiency and smartness.

The #EUelections2024 are just around the corner, and will be of critical importance to ensure the #GreenDeal and its ambitions live on and are implemented. EuropeOn and its members are committed to a swift #EnergyTransition, powered by #electrification and leading to the creation of skilled and local job opportunities. To this end, EuropeOn's Manifesto calls on incoming EU policymakers to set a clear path for clean #electrification and secure enough qualified workers to implement our objectives.
