This plan should include a target of 35% electrification of final energy use across the EU by 2030, along with an electrification indicator in the #NECPs to track and drive progress. 2️⃣ Highlighting the invaluable benefits of electricity. 3️⃣ Increasing awareness about electricity's potential for cost savings. Electricity makes up only 23% of all the energy consumed in Europe, meaning that while the power sector is working hard to decarbonise electricity, large parts of the economy are still running on fossil fuels.
