🌍 The IMEKO - International Measurement Confederation / World Congress 24 will take place in Hamburg from August 26 to 29. It is the largest international conference of this kind in the world. 📆 Tuesday will be particularly exciting from our perspective, as it will be about quantum technologies in metrology. It will be shown and discussed how, for example, quantum methods can improve measurement technology and where further potential lies. ⚛ On the part of HQIC, we are represented there with 3 stakeholders from the field of metrology and quantum technology and look forward to seeing familiar and unfamiliar faces. ✅ As usual, you can find all information about the event on our blog. #congress #deeptech #quantumtechnologies

Last week the CSOC consortium came together at Menlo Systems for the first in-person meeting of the project! The CSOC partners, coming from Menlo, Ghent University, LIGENTEC, Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne and DTU - Technical University of Denmark reviewed the progress of the first 12 months and laid out plans for the months ahead - and, of course, enjoyed the local bavarian cuisine! It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the European Microwave Week (EuMW) 2023 in Berlin. After 25 very successful EuMWs in different cities in Europe, it’s time for us to go to Berlin! Berlin, the capital and the largest city of Germany, is a fascinating European city that is renowned not only for its landmarks and museums, but also a rich cultural life, vibrant party scene and urban art. Evolving and progressing from a past of division into east and west, it has a distinctive charm of multi-layered uniqueness and a multi-cultural atmosphere. This is the reason we chose the Brandenburg Gate and the torn-down wall as our logo to celebrate the unification. Our slogan “Waves Beyond Walls” for EuMW 2023 shall emphasize that microwaves can unite and bring people closer. We are convinced that science can help tear down “walls.” [...] EuMW 2023 includes the European Microwave Conference (EuMC), the European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference (EuMIC), the European Radar Conference (EuRAD), the Defence, Security and Space Forum, the Automotive Forum, the 5G to 6G Forum, a large number of workshops covering a wide range of topics, Focused and Special Sessions and special events, such as Women in Microwave Engineering and two Inter-Society Technology Panels by IEEE MTT-S. The opening and closing plenary sessions of each of the three conferences feature keynote lectures by internationally renowned leaders in their fields. In addition to the conferences, the annual European Microwave Exhibition, which is by far the largest RF and microwave trade show in Europe, will offer attendees the chance to explore the latest technological advances in the industry. #OpTecBB at Quantum World Congress During the International Forum at the #QWC in Washington over 90 delegates from more than 16 countries discuss about their ideas of a commercialisation of Quantum. By this year around 10 bn € spend in research and also commercialisation of Quantum products in the next years. The QWC clearly shows that in Q-Computing, US companies leads. In the field of Q-Communication and Q-sensing Europe mostly leads. With our initiative #BQA (Berlin Quantum Alliance) the #Berlin capital region plays an enormous rule and our institutes and companies are on the leading edge. When we visited NIST labs(no photos, sorry), we saw Berlin lasers, Berlin equipment and even samples of PICs from our very well known Berlin based institutions.
