The important role played by European public media in objective, as well as unfettered information to citizens, in combination with the adoption of a series of rules that promote validity and transparency in the distribution of information, was referred to by ERT's special legal advisor and elected member of the EBU Legal Committee, Mr. Fotis Karagiannopoulos, speaking on Tuesday, April 30, at the "Voice of Greece" and the show "Greece in the World" presented by journalist George Dionysopoulos. Mr. Karagiannopoulos, on the occasion of the EBU General Assembly of Legal and Political Affairs held after 16 years in Greece and more specifically in Chania, pointed out that ERT is at the European forefront on a number of issues and challenges, from technology to the promotion of culture, such as the introduction and application of Artificial Intelligence in broadcasting. Mr. Karagiannopoulos, stressed in particular the efforts made by all sides to crown the event with absolute success, as for the first time, among others, the recent European Act on Media Freedom and Artificial Intelligence (AI) was at the center of discussions. It should be noted that this European Act imposes editorial independence, protects journalistic sources from the use of e.g. spyware, while the most important thing regarding ERT, according to Mr. Karagiannopoulos, is that it ensures the independent operation of public media, both through their financial autonomy and the satisfactory remuneration of employees. It should be noted that this event was held on the initiative of Mr. Fotis Karagiannopoulos from the Legal Service of ERT and with the impeccable settlement of the practical issues of DG Marketing, the Director of Regional Stations Dimitra Tzagadoura, but also with the decisive contribution of the ERA of Chania and Heraklion and mainly the director and correspondent journalist of ERT. One of the secrets of creating successful simulations is to base them on real-world incidents. To do so, you would need to follow these steps:  *Identify key elements, such as the type of attack, the entry point and the impact. *Develop a baseline scenario that replicates the incident, and then customise it to the organisation’s actual environment. In this process, it’s important to balance staying as close as possible to the actual incident (in order to give your team, the closest approximation to what might actually happen) with making some minor alterations to speak to your environment. By following this approach, the simulation will be more credible and thus engaging to those participating, while still being relevant to the environment or context in which the organisation exists.
