Anteaters are known for their long snouts and sticky tongues, but did you know that they can consume up to 30,000 ants in a single day? This incredible appetite is due to their specialized diet of insects, particularly ants and termites, which they locate using their keen sense of smell. Another fascinating fact about anteaters is that they have no teeth! Instead, they rely on their long tongues covered with tiny spines to lap up their insect prey. An anteater's tongue is a remarkable tool perfectly adapted for its specialized diet of ants and termites. Stretching up to an incredible 60-90 centimetres in length, an anteater's tongue is a captivating feature that enables it to reach deep into ant nests with ease. The stickiness of the tongue, combined with its long length, allows the anteater to lap up thousands of insects in a single feeding session. Interestingly, an anteater's tongue is not only long but also incredibly fast. With the ability to flick its tongue up to 150 times per minute, these creatures are true masters at consuming their preferred prey efficiently. #AnteaterFacts #InsectivoreInsights #NatureMarvels #WildlifeWonders #TongueTwist

Most gardeners, myself included, grow nasturtiums to help deter pests. Some gardeners are aware that nasturtiums are edible, but not many know about the medicinal properties of nasturtium. https://lnkd.in/exMX9ZnT #herbalmedicine #herbalremedies #herbalist #herbalism #aikidoenchantedapothecary #medicinalplants #medicinal #medicinalherbs #wellnesslifestyle #plantmedicine #alternativemedicine #wellness #healthandwellness #smallbusiness #flowers
