Let us introduce you to the new addition to the ERC team - Cornelia Sieling! 🚀 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐑𝐂? I am very happy to start at #ERC as “Referentin der Geschäftsführung” (consultant to the management), and I am looking forward to the many interesting tasks that come with this position. My responsibilities include supporting internal communication (e.g., ERC’s intranet), organizational management through systematic planning, implementation and monitoring of various channels, managing contracts, and assisting in different steering tasks. Corporate management is based on key aspects that can and should be pursued with targeted process management. I will support the management in formalizing and implementing these instruments. Currently, my focus lies on establishing the intranet with relevant content and ensuring that it is timely launched. In addition, I am involved in refining the corporate presentations while creating useful templates for colleagues to use.   𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦? I forecast that there will be various challenges in the future. Currently, the biggest one I am facing is fully understanding the intricacies of the company—its overall functioning, its operations, and its strengths and areas to improve. In order to successfully address the aforementioned, I need to deepen my knowledge of the various departments and the management team; that way, I will be able to make the most valuable contributions to the organization.   𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐑𝐂? My most recent position was as “Personal Assistant” to the management board at #OBERMEYER Infrastructure, an infrastructure planning company. There, in addition to my primary responsibilities, I took on additional tasks such as setting up a company presentation and modernizing the company website. Before that, I had many different roles at #Telefónica Germany, mostly within the Branding and Corporate Communication departments.   𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮? What a great question! 😊 I’ve longed for a while now for a project that would let me participate in something meaningful and big. Well, because this role actually involves taking care of 3 comunities: 1- Alumni community: ✔ Develop and execute a detailed action plan for the Alumni program including services, assessment mechanisms, events, alumni website/platform maintenance, and mechanisms for engagement and communication. ✔ Cultivation of long-term relationships with alumni ensuring their engagement by keeping them updated through mailing (Mailchimp, Active Campaign, etc. ), developing and maintaining the Alumni database and platform and extracting information from this data. Will also need to organize events e.g. the yearly Beyond ICFO event showcasing career paths of former students. 2- Social Media Community: ✔ Cultivation of a strong social media presence, engaging with users, implementing campaigns to increase followers and engagement, and creating content reflective of the culture and activities of the institute. Familiarity with Hootsuite would be an advantage. Analytics reporting of social media data. 3- Internal Communications Community: ✔ Engagement with members of the internal community through all possible channels to promote institutional interests and events, including preparation and mailing of a weekly bulletin, quarterly newsletter and organize activities to strengthen community bonds ( e.g. language exchange evenings ).
