ERCOT continues to monitor the impacts from Hurricane #Beryl. At this time, any outages are local in nature and not an ERCOT grid reliability issue. If you experience an outage, please check your local electric utility’s website. Visit the Public Utility Commission of Texas storm resources page for utility contacts and helpful information: https://lnkd.in/g3Uv2kQd. Stay updated on real-time grid conditions on ercot.com.

Line Clearance Tree Trimmers are critical members of the IBEW. They work hard every day to limit the possibility of electrical fires. In Southern Oregon, the long standing drought has made an already fire prone landscape even more susceptible to burning. That’s why the brothers and sisters at IBEW Local 659 have made it their priority to perfect their fire mitigation strategies and protect their local communities. Next time you see a truck pull up to trim trees around your power lines, know they are working to prevent disasters and keep you and your family safe. - #firesafety #treetrimming #ibew #powerlines

It's June 1st and #hurricaneseason is officially here. Our hope is that we don't see any hurricanes that reach shorelines this year. But in case they do, we need to be prepared. My latest NFPA blog discusses how NFPA 70B, Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance, can help you to have a plan in place for your electrical system before a hurricane arrives - helping you to be proactive, instead of reactive. https://lnkd.in/eEpqaxhW #hurricane #naturaldisasters #electrical #electricalsafety #electrician #electricianlife #electricalcontractor #facilities #facilitymaintenance #maintenance #electricalmaintenance #buildingowner #hurricanesafety #NFPA #NFPA70B
