While today is the official first day of summer, we’ve been experiencing hot weather for some time now in most parts of the country. It feels good to have the sun shining while we’re scouting fields and working on the farm, but it’s important to stay protected. Practice these tips to protect yourself from the sun’s exposure this #SafetyMonth and all summer: · Use sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher. · Wear UV-absorbent sunglasses and protective clothing. · Protect your head and neck with a hat. · Limit sun exposure by keeping short the amount of time you’re in direct sunlight. · Drink plenty of water.
