So back in the day, I was a member and captain of Golden Delight; the auxiliary section of the Blue and Gold Marching Machine at A&T State University. For clarification, I did not attend A&T but I marched in the band.....rules don't dictate possibility. But I digress..... As a part of band camp, we had to wake up at grueling hours and endure physical training that was equal to that of the military, right down to the combat boots. I learned many things from this experience one of them being this mantra: TO BE EARLY IS TO BE ON TIME TO BE ON TIME IS TO BE LATE AND TO BE LATE IS TO BE READY FOR THE NEXT REHEARSAL I have repeated this mantra to my students, company members, child, and clients over the years as a way of living in Vision. You see if your Vision is leading the way you will always be early because you are seeking the next opportunity for growth. You won't regret missing out on anything because you are following a path that is built for you. You can never be late for a life created by your own design. Take the opportunity to get ahead and get registered for Vision Camp Virtual today! I promise it won't be as physically rigorous as an HBCU band camp but it will build harmony between your vision and your reality. And the great thing about it is that I've covered the cost of your ticket so all you have to do is be ready to learn and grow. In honor of Black History Month, we want to highlight Frederick McKinley Jones – an inventor, entrepreneur and winner of the US National Medal of Technology. McKinley Jones was responsible for creating the first-ever truck refrigeration unit in 1938. The cooling units he designed were vital during World War II, as they allowed for food, medicine, and blood to be transported to army hospitals as well as open battlefields without perishing. His technology laid the foundation for all of the refrigerated trucks that travel thousands of miles across roads today. #copacking #contractpackaging #manufacturing#supplychainmanagement #packagingsolutions#foodandbeverageindustry #supplychain#petfoodindustry #foodsafety #SQF#foodandbeverage#foodandbeveragemanufacturing#packagingsolutions #packaging #innovation#strategicpartner #compliance #agility #kitting#fulfillment #blackhistory #frederickmckinleyjones

Black History is World History
#HouseHistory: Alumnus Leroy Howard Milton Haynes ’35 opened the first American restaurant in Paris - and in Europe - named “Gabby and Hayes” in 1949. Haynes was an All-American football player for Morehouse and a member of the Psi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi. After graduating, Haynes served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949 and soon after opened Gabby & Haynes. Haynes became a cultural architect, shaping a hub of Black excellence with his second venture, Chez Haynes, in 1969. This establishment not only served delectable African American soul food but also became the epicenter of Black culture in Paris. The popular restaurant was frequented by the likes of Richard Wright, James Baldwin, and Cab Calloway to name a few. After passing in 1986, Haynes’ restaurant operated until 2009. #BlackHistoryMonth #MorehouseHistory #MorehouseisEverywhere #WellTraveled
