🎭✈️ Navigating the Arts Landscape: Lessons from Flight 401 ✈️🎭 I often draw parallels between aviation and the arts industry, and one of my go-to examples is the story of Flight 401. In this scenario, the entire flight crew became preoccupied with an indicator light that was not lit, only to discover later that the lightbulb had burnt out. While the team fixated on this seemingly minor issue, the autopilot was inadvertently turned off, resulting in a tragic crash. The crucial takeaway from this tale is the importance of always being aware of who is focusing on what and not allowing a small issue to divert everyone's attention. In the arts, as in aviation, there are daily situations where this lesson could make a significant difference. In the aftermath of the crash, guidelines and regulations were overhauled to prevent such tragedies. Similarly, in the arts industry, we encounter situations every day that could benefit from applying this lesson. It serves as a reminder to remain vigilant, prioritize our focus on the broader picture, and avoid being consumed by isolated challenges that may distract us from the the path towards artistic excellence. Teamwork and communication are key. Having a plan and sticking to a process...that is lifesaving. In aviation, it's ANC...Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.... In that order. I wrote about that here: ✈ Blog: https://lnkd.in/giR_N2kr https://lnkd.in/gf_K9Ddp

Chairman @ Autonomy Institute | Industry 4.0 Fellow: Building Intelligent Infrastructure Economic Zones ARPA-I
Jim Perschbach, great to see your leadership supporting Texas. The Port San Antonio will help open an entirely new mode of transportation and help build a Stronger and More Connected Texas. Exceptional region to advance the industry. Texas, the State of the Future, will lead the nation with INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE (the foundation of ARPA-I) for Advanced Air Mobility. Advanced air mobility (AAM) refers to the next generation of aviation systems that include electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and other types of aerial vehicles. AAM has the potential to revolutionize transportation and bring about various social and economic benefits. Infrastructure has played a crucial role in accelerating the aviation industry by providing the necessary facilities and support systems for aircraft operations, passenger services, and cargo transportation. Founder @ flybuyer.com | Royal Aviation Group | Are you an aircraft owner? I’ll make a free YouTube video to help sell your airplane! (send me a message)
Flying into Oshkosh, WI for EAA AirVenture is a “challenging endeavor,” to say the least, due to the extremely high traffic density — making it the busiest airport in the world for the week. The EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2024 Notice, previously known as Oshkosh NOTAMS, is essential reading for all pilots to ensure a safe arrival and departure during the 71st fly-in convention, scheduled from July 22nd through 29th . This 32 page read provides comprehensive details on procedures and policies, updated based on pilot feedback and FAA recommendations, crucial for navigating the airspace that will see more than 10,000 aircraft and hundreds of thousands of attendees. Here are the highlights you need to be aware of: changes to the FISK holding procedure, new TFRs in Milwaukee airspace due to the Republican National Convention and specified transition points such as Endeavor Bridge, Puckaway Lake and Green Lake to manage congestion. The Notice is effective from Noon CDT on July 18th through Noon CDT on July 29th, providing tailored procedures for various aircraft types. As emphasized by Sean Elliott, EAA’s vice president of advocacy and safety, thorough preparation and understanding of these procedures are vital for a safe and successful journey to and from AirVenture, where Wittman Regional Airport is expected to handle up to 148 takeoffs and landings per hour. You can read and download the official AirVenture 2024 notice here: https://lnkd.in/gjYyvzsN Notice to Airmen ✈ Sign up for my free newsletter to get aviation news straight to your inbox: flybuyer.com/subscribe #aviation #businessaviation #aviationnews #pilotlife

Airplanes are a girl's best friend 🥰✈️ 💎 I never thought I would get so addicted to the sound of an engine, to the feeling of taking off the ground, navigating from place to place, communicating with ATC, and the satisfaction that comes from a well-done landing 🤩. Learning to fly has been one of the greatest gifts I've received in my life. Mastering this craft comes with hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and a lot of sacrifices, but it changes your life and your family life forever. If you are passionate about aviation and thinking about becoming a pilot in 2024, my simple advice is to just do it! #MEI #multiengine #multiengineinstructor #learntofly

This is a reminder to take time and recognize those who have impact in your life and your career. It's important to share these moments and memorialize them. It helps everyone when you are creating a culture of growth and opportunity.
So this arrived today. After reading just a few sentences, I had to hand this to my wife. We were both touched. For me, having a peer take the time during their next chapter humbles me----and keeps me young. I appreciate the recognition from my unknown colleague and hope that I continue to set a positive example for our craft and our Brand. I have promoted the Delta Air Lines brand for decades as an Endeavor Air pilot, I have only been a #DeltaPilot for 3 years, so this is a big surprise for me. #TamingTheGuppy has been challenging and rewarding. With a few days left with vacation, I enjoy watching my fleet videos and readings as relaxation. I can not wait to start my next sequence later in the week with the hopes that I represent all of us. Thank you to all of my cheerleaders, instructors, customers, and friends that I have made with every logbook entry. #KeepClimbing and I hope we meet on a future Delta Air Lines flight.
