On Monday our colleagues from Szczecińska Energetyka Cieplna welcomed Leo Birnbaum, Marc Spieker and Attila Kiss - the Management Board of the E.ON Group. They were accompanied by Andrzej Modzelewski, the CEO of E.ON Polska. Challenges of energy transformation were the main topic of the meeting. 🌍 Szczecińska Energetyka Cieplna (SEC), in collaboration with E.ON, is implementing an ambitious project to decarbonize its heat sources. Therefore, the E.ON representatives first met with the employees of the “Dąbska” Heating Plant, the largest SEC energy source. The discussions focused on abandonment of coal, operational perspectives post-transformation, and the implementation of alternative energy solutions. 💡 The guests visited also Łasztownia, where SEC has implemented the innovative ectogrid™ solution. During this part of the visit, they had the opportunity to discuss the future of Szczecin with the City Mayor, Piotr Krzystek.🏙️ The atmosphere at the meeting was amazing! Project Update: Teplárna Liberec, a. s. a subsidiary of Cube III portfolio company ENETIQA a.s. commenced the final stage of its GreenNet project, set to finalize the modernization its network by autumn 2025. The GreenNet II & III projects will convert the last two steam distribution networks to hot water, significantly reducing heat distribution thermal losses, reducing natural gas consumption, and increasing the network's reliability. Supported by Cube and additional funding from the Czech government’s National Recovery Plan, the projects will reduce heat transmission losses by 25% and provide new customers with a more economical, ecological, and efficient supply of heat. In a national television report, Jörg Lüdorf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENETIQA a.s., declared the investment to be one of the major investments in the Czech Republic, noting that investment in #districtheating systems will make it much easier in the future to connect new customers.
