Web3 devs need realtime access to blockchain data that’s preloaded, queryable, and available for free. But indexed data can only be trusted by a smart contract if it’s collected, stored, and sent on-chain in a verifiable way. Space and Time is the only ZK indexer that can guarantee a smart contract is getting the right blockchain data from major chains. Cryptographically guaranteed by Proof of SQL ✅ https://lnkd.in/gpmQtnfu

Blockchain - A Digital Transformation Technology. What is Blockchain? Looking at the title without any prior knowledge, a simplistic way to define it would be — blocks connected by chains? Chains on a block? Not entirely far off — Blockchains are simply data structures consisting of set of linked blocks. Looking at this, some folks would say, why fix what’s not broken? We have excel amongst other type of databases. Right? However, there are elements that distinguish blockchains from your typical database. To read the full piece... https://lnkd.in/eSFZAQDq

The ideas behind Web3 or Web3.0 are pretty good. I like decentralized identity, semantic web, distributed data, decentralized storage, blockchain, and consensus algorithms. However, I see one big problem with the current Web3. Currently, it is mostly about blockchain. That creates a bad impression about Web3, some people think that Web3 is only about crypto-currencies and DeFi. Yes, we need blockchains in some cases when we need consensus, e.g. financial transactions. However, IMHO, 90% of personal activities don't need a consensus. Decentralized identities, data identification, distributed data, data ownership, decentralized social networks, private messages, and distributed applications don't require a blockchain or consensus. These activities are still based on Web2 (centralized websites, with centralized identities and data vendor lock-in).
