#RoyalFarWest #RideforCountryKids https://lnkd.in/gnZDK_5f Last week, along with 49 other riders and 20 support crew, I completed the 3 day Royal Far West ride for country kids fundraising cycle in beautiful, hilly, NSW far south coast (Merimbula, Bega, Eden, Bermagui).  During the hours in the saddle, your mind wanders and observations follow, such as..... although we were all individual cyclists, it was so noticeable how we joined as a team. And how all of our motivations were so totally in-sync. We wanted to finish safely as a peloton, and not leave anyone behind. We wanted to fulfil our commitments to our sponsors and smash our fundraising targets. We were doing good things for ourselves (fitness, enjoying the ride, the scenery, the camaraderie, the feeling of accomplishment) and as a natural consequence - as a natural byproduct - we were doing good for others. Total alignment. The Business Leaders I work with often talk about goal alignment. About energising and congruent plans and objectives. Last week a bunch of cyclists of very varied ability who meet very infrequently, came together, and acheived this. 🎗️Riding horses is a therapy for vulnerable people. We support social initiatives like 'Accavallo oltre gli ostacoli' through our partnership with i Bambini delle Fate. This project targets individuals with neuromotor, cognitive, psychological, and social challenges, accommodating all ages. Horseback riding activates unique responses in motor skills, sensory perception, cognition, and behaviour.⬇️ In the activities organised by the Association, interactions with horses are part of educational, sporting, and rehabilitative programs. These activities are conducted in a natural setting within the spacious green areas of the Agnano crater basin. Our experience shows that outdoor sports are a natural progression of therapy, effectively fostering socialisation, interaction, and an appreciation of diversity. 💥At Condor, we believe in inclusion in all its forms and in valuing diversity.
