Worley Life: GETing Gigaplex Moving, One Ergo Break at a Time!♥️ Taking charge of my well-being at work has always been important to me, and with the Worley Life program at Gigaplex, I'm thrilled to be leading the charge alongside my fellow GET volunteers in making it a reality for everyone! Our mission: to inject quick bursts of movement and energy into the workday through 3-minute ergonomics breaks. Trust me, those 3 minutes can work wonders! From initial skepticism from some floor coordinators, we've witnessed a fantastic shift as we spearheaded the action plan together. Whether it's stretching or mini-workouts breaks, these breaks are leaving smiles and loosened joints in their wake. The best part? It's not just about feeling good. These energizing breaks are translating into boosted morale, sharper focus, and a smoother flow of operations. We're creating a culture that prioritizes well-being, and the ripple effect is undeniable. This experience has been a powerful reminder that prioritizing our own well-being isn't a luxury, it's a necessity. By taking care of ourselves, we're not just doing ourselves a favor, we're fueling a happier, more productive Gigaplex for everyone. ✨ So, a big shoutout to my amazing GET Worley Life volunteers! As a techie do you have headaches managing your professional & personal life…🌚 Good thing is you’re not alone, I’ve been struggling from this too ever since in my career and I thought to myself; this can’t keep going on. Then, I tried something that helped and I want to share so you can also try it out. Instead of seeking work-life balance, WORK-LIFE INTEGRATION might just be what you’ve been looking for, just like the name implies, with this concept your professional life and personal life are not two different things. For about a week now, I’ve been living my life as a two in one package (professional & personal). Having both interwoven in each other that there’s no difference between both, I don’t need to manage them separately and this have helped me less stressed, more productive and I have quite enough time for myself this day, very amazing isn’t it?😇 The two concept seem quite similar but they have their differences, work-life balance creates boundaries between your professional and personal life and most times this cause burnouts. On the other hand work-life integration allow you to life both life simultaneously. For example, *catching up on work after running an errand *Taking a break to exercise or go for a walk during a lunch break *Sketching a design concept at the airport while waiting to board a flight for a trip *Caring for a child or loved one while working from home * Taking a short nap after some hours of coding My point is, work-life integration is a way to improve the flexibility and freedom to work the way that's best for you—so you don't compromise your work or personal lives.
