When I first came to Advanced MedTech on 1 July, 2014, the CEO and COO of the predecessor company represented to the Board that there was no talent in the company... They said that there were no leaders capable of taking over from them. The company faced significant challenges at the time. Sales had been declining for more than 15 years, and the company was unprofitable. The situation could not be more different today, a decade later. The team has not just turned the company around, they have propelled it to unprecedented growth, profitability, and returns. The progress is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation embodied in each employee of Advanced MedTech(AMTH). ALL credit for the turnaround belongs to the team. Every day, our employees live and breathe our core values: - Urgency in Collaboration - Customercentric Innovation - Authentic Leadership Spending time with our 1,500 employees has inspired me over these years. We are united in a collective purpose to deliver life-changing technologies to patients and healthcare professionals that we serve. Yau Chung WONG, who takes over from me on 1 October, 2024, is a leader whom we have groomed from within. Besides him, our talent bench is well stocked with many seasoned leaders that have been developed, rotated, and honed through assignments of increasing complexity. My greatest pride lies in the incredible leadership team we've built. It's been an honour to be the founding-CEO of AMTH, leading together with an expanding bench of leaders at every level. A leader's most critical role is cultivating the next generation, and ensuring a smooth transition when the time comes to hand over. As I step into my next phase on the AMTH Board, I'm deeply grateful for the unwavering support of the Board of Directors(Philip Yeo, Frank Lavin, Steven Phan, Veronica McCann, Morris John, and Prof Ed Byrne). Their counsel, advice, and encouragement have been invaluable.
