There’s nothing noble about shutting down a production line, rejecting product, or delaying production in general due to a preventable issue. Many Quality Inspectors I’ve worked with seem to have a belief that shutting down the line makes them a hero. It doesn’t. Sure, shut the line down temporarily if there’s an actual reason like fill weight/volume is low, container sealing is inconsistent, etc. If you shut the line down because: -the wrong label version was pulled -turns out your bulk actually wasn’t released -yOu DoN’t LiKe HoW tHe BoTtLe LoOkS These are preventable Quality failures. Period. 9/10 times I was told the line was down was due to a Quality Inspector overstepping or acting like a hero for realizing they messed up and the line never should’ve been authorized to run in the first place. Wrong label got pulled? That’s on you and there should be a consequence. Bulk wasn’t released and you caved to the pressure of Production to get started? Lame. Consequences should be had. You shut the line down due to some personal preference the customer doesn’t care about? Get outta here. If you shut down lines for any of these reasons, you shouldn’t feel like a hero. Instead, you should look for another job because odds are, your days are numbered. We are here to ENABLE Production to run SAFELY and in COMPLIANCE with applicable laws and regs. We are not here to impose our personal preferences upon customers unwilling to pay for an impossible level of Quality. #quality #manufacturing #cpgindustry #beautyindistry #consulting

QUALITY CONTROL AND ASSURANCE Over the years, companies across the world have drawn a large board at the center of their graph to check the quality of their product and the services they render. From the raw materials, down to the production line to the packaging and selling off to the market, there is always a quality check. Where people tend to make the mistake is the difference between quality assurance and control Let's break it down a bit. Quality control involves the inspection of activities and steps used in production or rendering a service. It's a process and it ensures that a product adheres to an already set quality standard. Activities such as ; Testing of raw materials before use Inspection of techniques Sampling This third one is very important, many products have failed quality checks because sampling wasn't done or properly done. After picking samples, and at some point during testing, it falls out of range, it should be raised as a quality issue so the situation can be handled Now the second side of it, the assurance This is simply telling or showing the prospective buyers or clients that the products meet the quality requirements. This will include all the activities and steps taken to make such a product. The assurance will not just be in words but also your final products. It's always in two forms We have the internal QA and the external QA The internal QA is the one within the company, the one that shows that the product meets the company 's laid down standard, while the external QA is to your consumers, governments, agencies, etc The latter is very important if there is any issue within, it can still be easily fixed than having a consumer complain or a red flag from external bodies during a tour or inspection Either way, for a company to keep being in business and saving lives, quality control and assurance must be in good state Many companies that started well, hit the rock because of quality. You as a consumer too, be wise, quantity is good but all the time, quality takes the lead #QualityAssurance #QualityControl #FoodHandling

As a quality personnel,What do you do when a product falls below quality standard? To handle such challenges, this are some of the corrective measures to take . 1. IDENTIFY THE ROOT CAUSE: Investigate why the product fell below standard. Is it a manufacturing defect, a quality control issue, or a problem in the supply chain? 2. IMPLEMENT IMMEDIATE FIXES: Address any immediate issues to prevent further distribution of substandard products. This may involve halting production, recalling products, or implementing temporary fixes on the production line. 3. REVISE PROCESSES: Evaluate and improve the production processes to ensure that similar issues don't occur in the future. This could involve retraining employees, upgrading equipment, or revising quality control procedures. 4. COMMINICATE WITH STAKEHOLDERS: Be transparent with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders about the issue and the steps being taken to rectify it. Providing clear communication helps maintain trust and credibility. 5. CONTINOUS MONITORING AND IMPROVEMENT: Implement a system for ongoing monitoring of product quality and performance. Regularly review feedback, conduct audits, and make necessary adjustments to continuously improve product standards. #Adanna##Food##Safety#

📊 Quality Control #one_of_the_primary In the projects I've been involved in, I've always stoked for the stability and quality of the product. If there is no desire to keep this point at the core of the development strategy, then I am not in that project. I share the important basic but superficial stages of OCC, both at product launch and at high volumes: ☑️ Internal: 1. Team - what the department is made up of There should be people in production with real experience who understand what is "bad" and what is "good". These people need to work on a well-oiled system with forms, numbers, segregation of duties, healthy communications and an understanding of all processes from receiving raw materials to getting product on the shelf. 2. Control All stages should be controlled - obviously. Pre-prepared forms signed by the responsible persons, according to which actions are performed in the factory, make the work easier. The most basic controlled stages are: ⁃ delivery of incoming raw materials ⁃ preparation of raw materials ⁃ equipment inspection ⁃ control of the brewing process ⁃ checking the resulting base every day (very important!) ⁃ flavoring ⁃ control of the intended finished product 3. Internal focus group Here the product is tested among the company's employees thereby reducing the risks made in the production process. 4. Packaging Make fun of the packaging and see its durability, convenience and how the product feels in it after time. ☑️ External steps: 1. Focus groups among professionals and consumers A strong important stage that allows you to take a broad view of the finished product. This is where the "almost finished product" is taken for final tests before going on the shelf. Tests are better conducted in different formats: blind tests, among others. Create convenient google forms to accurately collect the opinions of all, and then analyze. And important: select the audience for the tests also qualitatively. The format of gathering all your friends and acquaintances is not the best. And the exhibition/festival format is not very objective. 2. Collect feedback from consumers You want quality - collect opinions. Give the opportunity to leave feedback to consumers, communicate with them. This can be done by text on the packaging with contacts for collecting feedback online platforms with publications and questions. Analyze and be quality not only in words. P.S. Just imagine how much work is behind that jar of quality hookah mixture that you see on the shelves of stores....

Quality is the center of the universe - our quality people state. The more I think about it the more I agree with it. I always considered quality important regardless where I worked (financial audit, FMCG manufacturing, shared user warehousing and distribution) but clinical trials logistics that includes secondary packaging as well is the most demanding business in terms of all aspects of quality. Please read in more depth about it:
