Don't we all sometimes long for those genuine connections, moments that leave a mark, and the pleasure of diving into vibrant cultures and stories? It feels like we're constantly searching for spaces where authenticity reigns, and where conversations linger in our hearts long after they're done. And, truly, isn’t it the essence and quality of those moments and bonds we hold? 🌟 This is the soul of the LEADIA FESTIVAL. It's about forging unparalleled connections, basking in the enchantment of Istanbul, and engaging with speakers who might just reshape your worldviews. But more than anything, this festival is about its people - it's about forming a community. That’s the reason we are being very selective about the attendees and we made LEADIA FESTIVAL as an “ Invitation Only” event. This isn't to create an exclusive club, but rather to ensure that every individual present is aligned with the core values of our gathering. It's about curating an environment where authenticity reigns supreme. While I'm meticulously curating an invite list to ensure alignment with the festival's core values, there's a nagging feeling that some incredible individuals might still be out of my radar. If you're someone fueled by passion, values, and heartwarming connections, and feel this festival might just be your home, I’d genuinely like to hear from you. Let's explore the possibility of an invite together. At the end of the day, it's not just about an event. It's about the depths we'll reach, the memories we'll craft, and above all, it's about YOU. Let’s create something magical. If the call of the LEADIA FESTIVAL resonates with you, please connect. And, LET’S BUILD THE FUTURE TOGETHER! #BuildingOurFutureTogether #LeadiaFestival #MagicofIstanbul

📌 #SaveTheDate The European Festivals Association, Stiftung Zukunft Berlin and A Soul for Europe are glad to announce that the Berlin Conference will take place on 7 and 8 November at the Allianz Forum, right next to the iconic Brandenburg Gate! EFA, along with festivals and festival cities and regions, will once again be key contributors. Since 2004, this conference has brought together a diverse spectrum of individuals from the arts to politics, providing a platform for collective discussion and action towards a cultural Europe. Reflecting on the words of then newly appointed President of the European Commission, José-Manuel Barroso, “The questions of what Europe can do for culture, and what culture can do for Europe, are not new. But in this context they have acquired a new sense of urgency […] What is needed now is sustainability of action – the translation of good intentions into good decisions.” Detailed information about the programme and registration links will follow soon. ❓LinkedIn asks "What do you want to talk about?". My answer, "ARTIVAL RE:CONNECT." 📹The video #reconnectwiththemoment you see below was shot and produced in 24 hours by artists-in-residence Julie Smith-Belton and Romain Lliedo 🗓️This time last year we completed the Denmark leg of our amazing Nordic arts and culture festival. Prior to the events in Copenhagen and Bornholm, the festival visited Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. Do visit IMMART page over the next few weeks to see pictures and reflections from IMMART and the participants. There is just so much to talk about that I cannot possibly fit it all into one post, so this for now, this post is going to be some reflections on what I, in my role as project manager and curator of the festival, feel that I did well and what could have gone or been done better. 💥Contacting Noreena Hertz to ask if she had worked with any artists on the themes of her book "The Lonely Century. A Call to Reconnect" that I had recently read was the first very good move. I was so fortunate that Noreena was extremely warm and receptive to the idea of not only her book being the inspiration for the festival, but also to come to Copenhagen and participate in the events as well. Noreena also provided me with incredible moral support and valuable professional advice that I carry with me today. 💥It is important to work with partners who understand and not only embrace but also incorporate and execute the goals of the project. Verbal contracts are not enough to hold people accountable and having written contracts is essential. 💥Having a narrow focus makes for more coherency and a smoother ride. I found it challenging to fulfill the demands of funding bodies and create a diverse program and in Copenhagen as much as we enjoyed every single happening, the program ended up being a little too broad. 💥The most well attended events/interactions were those where the partners were highly invested in the success of the event too and thus made a strong efforts to bring their own audiences along and/or give #artivalreconnect the due attention and respect. This is important for a small organisation like IMMART that has something of a niche audience. This point goes hand-in-hand with the note on written contracts, to some extent. 💥Connecting people is good! I made very strong efforts to give people involved the opportunity to meet one another outside of the events they were organising. With the generous assistance of the team from Make it DRIVE we held a couple of virtual speed-dating events that were a huge success - I can highly recommend it! 💥I need to be better at delegating! It is a weak spot of mine, and while I did attempt to do this as during ARTIVAL, I could have done it more. Luckily I am very good at recognizing my own strengths and weaknesses and continue to work on this one. A heartfelt thank you to all of the partners and collaborators listed in the comments - I hope to see you at #ARTIVAL2025!

So you’re thinking about diversity and inclusion when booking corporate speakers and entertainment? Great! But we know every aspect of events gets turned over, scrutinised and examined afterwards – so how do we measure the impact of choosing diverse speakers and entertainment on your event’s overall success? Management Leader, Blending Education Innovation, Lean Manufacturing, and Multicultural Engagement Through Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, and Educational Technology
In the Arts Festival, amidst the crisp air of a Latin American Autumn evening, the vibrant hues of Loja City's booths illuminated the celebration of its 203 years of independence. Yet, within this lively spectacle, a pang of nostalgia gripped me—a poignant reminder of the life I had left behind in #Ecuador. Here, in the United States, the brilliance of the festival lights felt dazzling, yet undeniably foreign. I was birthed under a different sun and raised to the rhythms of another land. Nevertheless, America had become my cherished home, a realm I had embraced with open arms. Yet, this fusion of cultures was not without its challenges; it entailed a perpetual dance. There were moments, such as this one, where the unfamiliar cadence threatened to overshadow the familiar. In those instances, discouragement would insidiously seep in, casting doubt on my sense of belonging. But amidst the turmoil, a resolute voice would emerge—the same voice that had propelled me across continents. It reminded me of the dreams I carried, the convictions that had sustained me through #linguistics blending and cultural clashes. And so, I find myself standing once more, fortified in my resolve. My journey has transformed into a bridge, connecting the vibrant spirit of my heritage with the boundless opportunities that America has always offered. It was never about relinquishing one identity for another, but rather, about skillfully intertwining them. Now, my strength lies in guiding others along their own paths, ensuring that their aspirations are not overlooked amidst the ever-changing landscape of an evolving new world. Milton L. You Cannes Do it. To all those who know what it feels like being there but are not there! Cannes. A name that makes your adrenaline rush. A place that does justice your dopamine. Once you taste the experience, you want to be there every time. Year after year. Because that place is like no other place on earth. The levels of positivity, the depth of creativity and the height of festivity, all are of a different tangent there. It’s a small beautiful world where talents people come to celebrate creativity. To see how their hard-work fared amongst others. To see how high the bar has been raised. To see how many times the toast will be raised in the bars. To take back home beautiful memories gathered along with Rose’ and Smoked Salmon. To walk the red carpet and feel proud of all the deadlines you met and options you gave. To all the clients who stood by your ideas and all the briefs you had to fight. To all the sleepless nights and endless changes. All those moments of seemingly fruitless efforts look like they were all stepping stones to the stairs leading to the Palais. From display to shortlist to Lion, every day you spend there just makes you feel you are in a paradise of art. You feel you have left the earth somewhere behind and now you are with like minded people who have joined you to create another beautiful place in this space somewhere. A place that has beautiful solutions to almost all the problems in the world. A place that never sleeps. But keeps the dreams alive. And while once is just not enough, once you visit there you can live in its memory for ever. A place every creative person must visit. A festival every advertising person must attend. And sooner you make it, the better. #advertising #cannes #canneslions #cannes2023 #awards #creative #motivation #keepgoing #dontgiveup #nevergiveup #hunger #festival #linkedinstories
