My legs have finally recovered after making it to the top of Snowdon on Sunday. It wasn’t our first attempt though as we tried on Saturday but the weather had other ideas. We kept climbing and everyone kept saying they turned around and were coming back down but we didn’t want to be defeated but eventually had to admit defeat and turn back. It was torrential rain and we were camping but we were determined to do it so after checking the weather decided that we were good to go again on Sunday and sure enough we did it! Absolutely no view due to the weather but we did it! So, if you have decided to move jobs or have been made redundant and are looking but just don’t seem to be getting anywhere, don’t be defeated. As a recruiter we spend a lot of time getting to know our clients, getting to know their business and understanding who would be a good fit. We go through so many CVs and look at experience and time in roles and then take the time to get to know our candidates to make sure we make the right match. I love getting to know people and find out what makes them tick but it is very important to make sure your CV’s are a good representation of your experience as this is the first thing we see, so what would we like to see…. 🖊️ Keep it brief, no more than 2 pages 🖊️ Keep personal details brief, - name - address - contact number/ email - LinkedIn profile (optional) 🖊️List achievements and main responsibilities in bullet points. 🖊️List previous roles in chronological order, if any gaps in employment, give a brief explanation. Add in description of responsibilities. 🖊️List Education and qualifications in chronological order. 🖊️Add that references can be provided on request. Hope that helps but, if you need any help or direction when updating your CV give me a call on 07711 405861 or email on [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help. Don’t give up, keep going and let us help you on your HR career journey! Adaptable Recruitment

#Types of #Recruitment There are several types of recruiting. Here’s an overview: * #Internal Recruiting: internal recruiting involves filling vacancies with existing employees from within an #organization. * #Retained Recruiting: When organizations hire a recruiting firm, there are several ways to do so; retained recruiting is a common one. When an organization retains a recruiting firm to fill a #vacancy, they pay an upfront fee to fill the position. The firm is #responsible for finding candidates until the position is filled. The organization also agrees to work exclusively with the firm. * #Contingency Recruiting: like retained recruiting, contingency recruiting requires an outside firm. Unlike retained recruiting, there is no #upfront fee with contingency. Instead, the recruitment company receives #payment only when the clients they represent are hired by an organization. * #Staffing Recruiting: Staffing recruiters work for staffing agencies. Staffing recruiting matches qualified applicants with qualified job #openings. Moreover, staffing agencies typically focus on short-term or #temporary employment positions. * #Outplacement Recruiting: Outplacement is typically an employer-#sponsored #benefit which helps former employees transition into new jobs. Outplacement recruiting is designed to provide displaced employees with the #resources to find new positions or careers. * #Reverse Recruiting: Refers to the process whereby an employee is encouraged to seek #employment with a different organization that offers a better fit for their #skill set. We #offer Reverse Recruiting Days to help workers with this #process. At our Reverse Recruiting Days we review resumes, #conduct mock interviews, and offer deep dives into specific #job roles. HR Consultant to small healthcare organisations and small businesses in Staffordshire. Maximise employee productivity and engagement for business growth with expert HR advice, coaching and legal compliance.
Recruitment in small businesses. Finding qualified candidates for your role can prove difficult as there are others in your industry or locality looking for the same people, in the same talent pool. Its important to be realistic about the current job market, especially if you have a very specific role you are looking to fill. Being clear about the roles duties and what previous skills and experience someone requires to be successful in the role is important to manage expectations. Plus you want to hire the right person, who will stay in your business as it is costly to start the hiring process all over again, to have someone cover the vacant role or even to train someone new and then for them to leave. You also need to consider the reputational damage of having a high turnover of employees. Its important to be aware of the most effective sourcing channels (jobs boards like Linked In and Indeed, referrals, direct searches, social media) and keeping uptodate of these with changing trends. As with most things in business communication is key. Regular communication with your candidates, before they take another job offer, once you have offered them a role, to start making them feel part of your organisation. Navigating employment laws can be tricky, contracts, and compliance requirements can be complex. Staying informed and ensuring ethical practices is vital. #hrconsultant #hrsupport #smallbusinesssupport #recruitment

Bridging the Gap Between Companies and Top Talent/Crafting Tailored Recruitment Strategies for Proven Success.
Finding the right candidate for a vacant position can be a challenging task. The talent pool has become increasingly slim due to various factors, including rapid technological advancements, changing skill requirements, and evolving work dynamics. As a result, when you come across a candidate who fits the bill and falls within your salary range, it's crucial not to wait and seize the opportunity. Why the Rush? Competition is Fierce: Highly skilled individuals are often presented with multiple job offers, giving them the freedom to choose the best opportunity. Waiting too long to make an offer can result in losing out to a competitor who acts more swiftly. Time-Consuming Recruitment Process: The recruitment process involves stages such as sourcing, screening, interviewing, and reference checks. By the time you identify a candidate you like, they may already have other offers or opportunities in progress. Delaying the process further could lead to their disinterest or acceptance of another offer. Cost of Vacancy: Leaving a position vacant has its costs, ranging from decreased team productivity to increased workload on existing employees. The longer a role remains unfilled, the more likely it is to impact your organization's overall performance and bottom line. Candidate Engagement: When a candidate is actively engaged in the job search, their excitement and interest are at a peak. Delaying the offer can lead to a decline in their enthusiasm, as they might start to question their desirability for the role or explore other options. Salary Expectations: Finding a candidate within your budget is often a rare occurrence. If you come across a candidate who is an excellent fit for your team and is willing to accept your salary range, it's a remarkable alignment of factors. Waiting might lead them to reconsider their expectations, making negotiations more challenging later on. The competition for talent isn't going away, not even in a recession. Acting promptly can make all the difference in securing the best fit for your team.
