It feels like many of the previous handicaps of small molecules are being overcome one by one and (if legislation changes to be less biased) we might have a true renaissance of small molecule drug development. It's interesting to see some of these "antibody killer" small molecules, going after targets biologics currently address, entering the clinic and the industry seeing major partnerships and buyouts. From degraders to receptor agonists and protein 're-folders' and #machinelearning compounds design, it's going to be an interesting second half to the decade, and beyond.
