When you work as an independent patient advocate, part of your role is to help facilitate communication amongst providers. In situations that a client has multiple specialists, it can be challenging to keep everyone on the same page. Independent patient advocates expertly organize this information and can help to reference it when necessary while attending appointments with their clients. This survey done by Coalition of Health Care Advocacy Organizations shows that 61% of providers surveyed agree that Advocates bring everyone onto the same page for optimal care. The data presented here is derived from a detailed survey conducted by the Coalition of Health Care Advocacy Organizations (CHCAO) between late 2022 and early 2023. This study, involving over 500 healthcare professionals, Advocates, patients, and caregivers, was conducted without any honoraria for participation, ensuring unbiased insights.
