As the era of staffing difficulties continues in many fields, companies repeatedly struggle with the high costs related to turnover as well. However, it's not the roles themselves that are usually the reason for turnover, it has more to do with soft skills and areas of stress both at home and at work. We can work with employers directly and expand on our current 300 monthly support offerings to fit your specific needs to help reduce turnover and improve productivity, at an extremely affordable cost. This includes providing support for family members as well. We also partner with other services to enhance this ongoing need for integrated behavioral health support to help track the long-term results of providing this type of additional health benefit. If you're looking for more ways to improve morale, increase productivity, and reduce the cost of turnover, I'd love to set up a conversation with you. #hr #employeebenefits #turnover #burnout #behavioralhealth

Earlier this year, we released the #HPWorkRelationshipIndex — a global report that tracks and analyzes what drives meaningful, #productive, and purposeful experiences for workers. So, what did we find out? 1️⃣ Unhealthy beliefs are driving too many relationships for too many employees. 2️⃣ More than half of employees struggle with their self-worth and mental health. 3️⃣ Post-pandemic ways of working demand more flexible, more compassionate leadership styles.

Failing to invest in employee mental health can have significant negative consequences for both employees and the organisation as a whole. Here are some potential outcomes: 👩🏻💻 Decreased Productivity: Employees who are struggling with mental health issues may find it challenging to concentrate, meet deadlines, and perform at their best. This can lead to a decrease in overall productivity and work quality. 👩🏻💻 High Turnover Rates: Employees who feel that their mental health is not supported by their organization may seek employment elsewhere. High turnover rates are costly in terms of recruitment, training, and lost institutional knowledge. 👩🏻💻Increased Healthcare Costs: Untreated mental health issues can lead to physical health problems and increase healthcare costs for both employees and the organization. This includes costs associated with medical treatment and disability claims. 👩🏻💻Reputation Damage: Negative workplace experiences related to mental health can harm an organization's reputation. This can make it difficult to attract top talent and retain clients or customers who value socially responsible business practices. Implementing mental health programs can have numerous benefits for organisation and business. Ultimately, prioritizing employee mental health can lead to a more engaged, productive, and loyal workforce, which benefits both employees and the organization. Director of Health Performance at Google | Supporting the physical, mental, social and spiritual health and wellbeing of Google's global workforce
Provocative question from one of my favorite people Emily Walling regarding mental health in the workplace (see her post below). Here's my hot take: regarding mental health in the workplace, the one thing I see most missing and people say (behind close doors) that they're craving is a place to have authentic conversations about their struggles and how the system around them both reduces and exacerbates those struggles (it does BOTH for 100% of the people I talk to). They want to have these conversations with those closest to them in the system: their teams, their managers, their reports, and their closest collaborators. This would at least create the possibility for cultural change for the better, maybe not for the entire system, but at least for the environment around them in their workplace. This is why I keep telling my mental health story, amplifying the stories of others, and facilitating conversations within teams/orgs wherever I can. All the other things you list are still VERY important and should definitely be resourced if feasible, but most involve interaction between an employee and a practitioner outside the system. Things that don't affect change within the system can only be band-aids. No, I didn't run a survey. Yes, my perspective is skewed due to availability bias. HOWEVER, the perspectives people are telling me are the ones they aren't telling anyone else. So I will shine a spotlight on these. #mentalhealth #healthandwellbeing #leadership #endthestigma #culturaltransformation
Polling the LinkedIn HiveMind -- as an #employer, #employee, #founder or #leader of teams, what #mentalhealth support do you wish you had in your workplace? There are surveys and scales and hotlines, like those mentioned below to help with #depression, #isolation, #suicideprevention and #burnout, but what about individual evidence-based therapy treatments, #CBT, #coaching, exposure-response therapy, app subscriptions etc? If you could get what you want and need, what would it be? What should your company cover? cc-ing some movers, shakers and connectors I know, but welcome all responses! “Company leaders have a responsibility to develop a culture in which all workers can thrive. It is no surprise that in organisations where chief executives have publicly acknowledged the importance of good mental health, there has, for the most part, been greater progress. As investors, we call upon companies to not just recognise their moral responsibilities as an employer but to accelerate their efforts to turn their policies into action and to take the necessary steps to unlock economic value by creating conditions under which their employees can thrive.” Peter Hugh Smith, Chief Executive, CCLA The CCLA 2023 Corporate Mental Health Benchmark Global 100 is available now: https://lnkd.in/eYGUwN8K. #mentalhealth #sustainability #ESG #goodinvestment #betterhealth
