Improving safety for field staff with FRP safety grates. Fall from heights also includes underground chambers and manholes. Safety grates help to mitigate the risk to workers. EJ engineering & production teams recently worked on safety grates for an Energex multipart cover over a large electrical chamber. Custom built in our Brendale factory. #ejco #FRP #safetygrate #manholecovers #multipart #electricity #undergroundutilities #networks #chambers #electricalvault

According to API2000, an emergency vent is required to prevent damage to the low pressure tank. Failure to install it correctly will cause damage to the tank. Therefore, it is necessary to install an emergency vent according to API 2000 requirements for tanks that store flammable substances. The design of the items required for the operation of the process equipment must be based on the engineering standard. According to API2000, the following things are said in relation to the emergency vent: 3.4.2 Emergency Venting Emergency venting may be accomplished by the use of the following: a) larger or additional open vents as limited by 3.4.1.3, b) larger or additional PV valves, c) a gauge hatch that allows the cover to lift under abnormal internal pressure, d) a manhole cover that lifts when exposed to abnormal internal pressure, e) weak (frangible) roof-to-shell attachment (see 3.3.3.2), f) a rupture-disk device, g) other forms of construction that can be proven to be comparable for the purposes of pressure relief.

How many of you folks have looked into "mechanical fastening" and why it is so important in the world of passive fire safety? That low voltage cable is only going to stay in place if it is secured on both sides and not solely relying on the bold of the firestop product an the cable jacket. As a person who has spent a fair amount of time above ceiling and in interstitials, humans are cumbersome creatures in confined spaces at the best of times. So when that cable snags on your boot or hardhat and it isn't supported on both sides of the wall? You're going to tear it out of the firestopped opening somewhere down the line. Or even worse, tear the whole assembly out of the gyp! #3M #firestop #firestopping #firesafety #lifesafety #continuingeducation #constructioneducation #construction #buildinginnovation #buildbetter #buildsmart #passivefireprotection #codeenforcement #buildingcodes #firemarshal #buildinginspections #contractoreducation #constructionmaterials #buildingmaterials #kcmo #inspectors #codesinspectors #firemashals

FLOOR/ZONE CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS: Floor Control Valve with supervisory switch Check valve Main drain valve Pressure Gauge Flow switch WHERE REQUIRED?! Floor control valve assembly shall be provided in buildings exceeding two stories. WHERE NOT REQUIRED?! Floor control valves assembly is not required for dry systems in parking garages. Floor control valve assembly shall not be required where sprinklers on the top level of a multistory building are supplied by piping on the floor below. Floor control valve assembly shall not be required where the total area of all floors combined does not exceed the system protection area limitations of required by NFPA 13. NOTE THAT: SYSTEM PROTECTION AREA LIMITATION ACCORDING TO NFPA 13 IS AS FOLLOWINGS: For light hazard occupancies is 4830 m2. For ordinary hazard occupancies is 4830 m2. For Extra hazard occupancies is 3720 m2. For high piled storage is 3720 m2. For in-rack storage is 3720 m2. NOTE THAT: WHERE INDIVIDUAL FLOOR/ZONE CONTROL VALVES ARE NOT PROVIDED, A FLANGED JOINT OR MECHANICAL COUPLING SHALL BE USED AT THE RISER AT EACH FLOOR FOR CONNECTIONS TO PIPING SERVING FLOOR AREAS IN EXCESS OF 465 M2. Maxpower's some Tips for VDE insulated screwdriver safe use Preparation before use VDE insulated screwdriver: Before using an insulated screwdriver, you must inspect it and become familiar with its structure and features, including handle, cross head or flat head, etc. It is necessary to check whether the handle and equipment of the insulated screwdriver are damaged, cracked or cracked, etc. Do not use the tool under the above conditions. Always wear insulated gloves when using an insulated screwdriver. When moisture or liquid is present, workers need to lay down insulating mats in the work area. Tips for VDE insulated screwdriver safe use: -Avoid contact with current lines When performing maintenance on electrical equipment, avoid contact with current lines as much as possible. When using an insulated screwdriver, you need to cut off the power supply to the electrical equipment first and confirm that it will not cause personal danger before performing maintenance. -Avoid excessive force When using an insulated screwdriver, be sure to avoid using excessive force to tighten or loosen screws. This will cause the handle to crack or deform, causing the insulated screwdriver to fail to function properly. The correct method of operation is to use appropriate force to operate. If the force is too high, you need to replace the screwdriver with a suitable one. -avoid collision After using the insulated screwdriver, be sure to place it in a special tool box to avoid collision with other tools. Prolonged use or storage under high temperatures or strong light will affect its quality and safety. -Avoid long-term use Because insulation materials are prone to fatigue and cracking or chipping, they need to be replaced regularly. Especially when used frequently in daily work, it is very important to replace the insulated screwdriver. Summarize: Insulated screwdrivers are important tools in the maintenance of electrical equipment. When using them, you need to comply with the above safety operating procedures to ensure the safety of the work area and the personal safety of workers. During use, the quality and safety of the tools need to be checked regularly and the integrity of the tools needs to be maintained. Maxpower VDE insulated screwdriver blade is made of high-quality Cr-Mo, processed and heat-treated treatment as a whole. The handle is injection molded with insulating material, providing a comfortable hand feel. With VDE approval, each Maxpower VDE insulated screwdriver has passed high voltage test. #Maxpower #tool #handtool #hardware #factory #China #Chinese #screwdriver #VDE #insulated #insulation #manufacturer #wrench #adjustablewrench #socket #plier #cutting #clamp #pipewrench #boltcutter https://lnkd.in/gYHHJWwF

Focus on electrocution safety in construction! Learn about the hazards & how to stay safe: 🚧Burns: Arc and thermal burns can result from electrical current flow. 🚧Electrocution: Exposure to lethal electric energy is dangerous. 🚧Shock: Contact with electrical circuits can cause shock. 🚧Arc Flash/Blast: A sudden release of energy can produce high temps and pressure waves. 🚧Fire & Explosions: Poor wiring or faulty electrical components can lead to fires and explosions. Protect yourself: Maintain safe distances from power lines, use ground-fault circuit interrupters, inspect tools and cords, and follow safety protocols. Safety education is vital! #BESAFE https://lnkd.in/e35jcUs5
