Heat as a Service transforms sustainability challenges into a seamless, cost-effective, and collective approach for renewable heat and/or power generation. Bioenergy Andijk, as seen in the video below, is a great example of Heat as a Service. At Bioenergy Andijk, multiple greenhouses collectively purchase renewable heat generated by the heat and power plant. The horticulture companies improve their sustainability and remain focused on their core business, while HoSt operates and maintains the renewable heat and power plant. 🌱 Find out how to get access to renewable heat, a reduction of your carbon footprint, and increased sustainability → https://lnkd.in/dnYqFxk3 #esco #renewableenergy #energyasaservice #renewableheat

From organic waste to renewable energy 🌿 We've made a 10-year agreement with Alberta-based renewable energy producer GrowTEC to supply our New Brunswick operations, including our Saint John refinery, with carbon-negative renewable natural gas (RNG) from a family-owned potato farm near Lethbridge. With this agreement, up to 60,000 gigajoules of RNG - produced from organic waste such as potato peelings and manure - will be supplied to our operations via pipeline annually, where it will offset conventional natural gas amounts. Together with future opportunities, these developments mark another important step in our decarbonization journey. We believe renewable natural gas provides a powerful opportunity for the efficient decarbonization of our operations – as we make strides toward our goal of reducing emissions by 30 per cent by 2030. 🌻 Arrives from France the first module #agrivoltaic, bifacial and semi-transparent to have obtained a certification TÜV Rheinland. Feedgy, a company specialized in the optimization of solar systems, presented its novelty at the last Energaïa fair in Montpellier. In the world of renewable technologies, the agrivoltaic – that is the combination of photovoltaic and agriculture in a symbiotic relationship – is gaining more and more space. Just think that in the European Union alone, 14 Member States have incorporated solar energy in the strategic plans of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). A large group included France and Italy. And although the sector still faces several regulatory, bureaucratic and social challenges, it is undeniable that it is now channeled into an exponential trend. With an estimated average annual growth rate of about 10.1%. #SENnews #environmnent #globalwarming #greeneconomy #solar #eolic #energy #greenenergy #solarenergy #windenergy #sustainable #sustainabledevelopment

In recent months Grant Engineering ULC has transitioned several of its distribution lorries to be fueled by renewable biofuel alternative Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), a move which is helping Grant reduce CO2 carbon emissions by up to 90%. At present five, 18-tonne lorries are being fueled by HVO biofuel to deliver Grant’s innovative home heating technologies to merchants throughout Ireland. As HVO biofuel is a complete drop-in fuel replacement for diesel and kerosene, the lorries did not require any modifications to be made before making the change. This move further reinforces Grant’s commitment to a sustainable future and its continued focus as a renewable heating company on decarbonisation within its products and operations.
