The Ag/FoodTech sector in Israel has emerged as a leading force in innovation and sustainability, attracting global attention and investments in recent years. Collaboration between academia, industry, and government has played a vital role in its growth. Israeli universities and research institutions provide a strong foundation for cutting-edge ag/food research, while government initiatives and funding support startup incubation, research grants, and international partnerships. The Ag/FoodTech sector in Israel includes 658 companies. 70% of the companies in the AgTech sub-sector have released a product as well as 47% of FoodTech companies. With a culture of problem-solving and interdisciplinary approach, Israel is a vibrant source of Ag/FoodTech innovation. On Thursday November 30 Malin Broqvist Andersson will host the session "Unlocking the value of data through Drive Sweden's Innovation Program" together with Jonas Järnfeldt from The Train Brain and Jonathan Selbie from Univrses at the POLIS Network annual conference in Leuven, Belgium. Drive Sweden states that a transition towards a sustainable transport system must involve stakeholders from all parts of the socio-technical system, in order to achieve a sustainable transition, a regime shift. But doing that requires totally different innovation governance and cross collaboration than mobility actors  are used to. The Vinnova/Drive Sweden logic is to overcome barriers among stakeholders and get different parts of the triple helix to collaborate in a mutual digital and green evolution. One way of doing that, is to fund collaborative projects where public sector works closely with technology start-ups. Two successful and recent examples of such innovation projects are Stockholm Virtual City and The Movement in a city. At the POLIS Conference, we want to spread the project results (which already are part of the start ups business models), to raise knowledge and spur the discussion about methods enhancing innovations for Agenda 2030.

Denmark is the new top innovator with the best performance in the EU, overtaking Sweden after a few years in leading position.
