In the courtroom, echoes of the past ring loud as retired vice-admiral Haydn Edmundson firmly denies allegations of sexual assault from over three decades ago. A storied career meets a stark accusation—a narrative that brings forth a maelstrom of questions concerning accountability, the passage of time, and the seeking of justice. - What does this mean for the future of military accountability? - How will this impact those who serve and have yet to serve? As the trial unfolds, one prediction stands: the outcome will likely reverberate through the halls of our naval institutions and beyond, potentially reshaping our conversations around misconduct and historical claims. - Will transparency in the process restore faith in the system? - Can justice truly be timeless? From admiralty to the courtroom, the tide of public opinion is as unpredictable as the sea itself. 🌊⚖️ #NavalTrial #MilitaryAccountability #JusticeSystem #Leadership #EthicsInTheService Join me in a deeper dialogue on these pressing issues. Let’s discuss how the past informs the present and the kind of future we envision for our institutions. Connect with us on LinkedIn or at insidercondos.com—your insights are invaluable. 📢💬

Engineer @ Nikola | Founder, The Saturday Cha | I write about the world's top frameworks. So you can become hyper - effective with your time, health & life.
This law is holding you back from your full potential. Parkinson's law (and how to escape it): In 1955, British Naval historian and author Cyril Northcote coined Parkinson’s law. He showed that the British Naval bureaucracy grew even when the navy it served was shrinking after WW1. The law states that "Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". Not understanding this law can cause: 😣 Low productivity. 😣 Increased stress. 😣 Missed deadlines. You can use this rule to your benefit in: 👪 Relationships 💸 Money 🚴♂️ Health And more. Yesterday I published the article in my newsletter. Here is the link = https://lnkd.in/gyxvisqD. Subscribe to receive 1 free framework for effective living, every Saturday. P.S: What are your thoughts about this law? I remember exam time and cramming at the last moment 😀

I tell stories of change agents | Active duty USN commander | S.O.S. podcast host 🎙️| NATO communicator
I’ve done multiple podcasts with the victims of flawed command investigations. Now Marine officer and lawyer Steven Arango has written a published paper that delves into the structural inequities of the issue. Congrats to him for using his research skills and experience as a litigator for such a good cause. Hopefully, this paper will further motivate the United States Department of Defense and Congress to take action. Law review article published! A huge thank you to the George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School National Security Law Journal for all their work on this piece! Alex Buttram, Riley Fritz, and the rest of the team are first class, cannot recommend them enough. If you are interested in administrative #investigations, the #military, #nationalsecurity, or how to improve investigations, then this is the paper for you. Although the #MarineCorps is the focal point, I compare and contrast #Army and #AirForce investigations throughout. Hope you enjoy! Link to paper, which can be found on Westlaw and LexisNexis: https://lnkd.in/eMt_xEHs

I strongly recommend senior military officers and those interested in civil-military relations read LTG(R) Caslen's article: "Retired Flag Officers and Public Political Criticism." I wholeheartedly agree with him. We need to look at the impacts on the military profession when general and flag officers engage in political discourse in public, especially in the media.
